I am building my first box mod. Parts are ordered, everything is ready to go. I didn't notice it at first, but the Hammond box I ordered is pre-painted, however it appears to be slightly tilted from front to back.

How bad is the lean, has anyone built a box using a standard pre-painted hammond box? How did you deal with the slant?
I suppose I could sand it all down, but then I'd have to re-paint it, so not sure what to do now.

They are all (Hammond boxes) slanted. It will be more noticeable with the atty on top. The only way to make them straight is to sand the tops and bottoms to a 90 degree angle. I did that for my 1550P box before I powder coated it. Pics in the next thread down. It'll take forever to hand sand it. I use a 4X36 belt sander with 80 or 100 grit to square the box, then a palm sander @ 220 grit to remove the scratches from the 100 grit.
