Hi, I'm very new to this forum, so I apologize in advance for any breach in etiquette. I kind of have a supply question...
My dad lives in Texas (I'm in Kentucky). He's 73 years old and likes to make pens on his lathe. I told him about drip tips and how I'd seen videos of them made on a lathe. He's psyched to make some for me. I'm honestly pretty psyched about it too. He's not getting any younger and he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's last year, so anything he makes will be precious to me. Not only that, but the idea of making them has gotten him super excited and talking more than he usually does.
Here's my problem... I want to find SS inserts, so they are more stable than just plain wood/acrylic drip tips. I've done a fair bit of searching and read that the ones available on Pink Mule are pretty short. Is there anyone out there manufacturing these things? I have one that was given to me (with that insert), but I have no way to find out where/how/what.
Any help/guidance/advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
