Actually - This was my Happiness of Yesterday, but it's still making me happy today! My lawn-not is in full bloom. Nature is a much better gardener than I.

I saw 2 of my favorite teachers from elementary school at work recently, they still looked the same and remembered me even though it had been more than 20 years! I had great teachers in grade school! (I was homeschooled after 3rd grade, so I only had a limited number of teachers).

Did they remember you in a good way?

I was a good kid and student, my problem was "day dreaming" (didn't find out until 13 years later that I actually had ADHD). I think that may be part of the reason my parents took me out of school, so they wouldn't "label" me. Little did they know that any label like that could have helped me; or that my dad had ADHD too, and that's why he made us all so miserable (Not understanding why you struggle so much more than other people tends to cause anger problems in those of us with ADHD, learning to cope with it usually alleviates the frustration and thus the anger; definitely worked for me and my dad!). I had the best teachers at that school, there were very few teachers that any of the kids didn't like. I was the weird one of course, the ones nobody else liked always seemed nice to me, so I liked them lol.

I know what you mean about the ADHD......my son has it. It was worse when he was in school, he had a hard time sitting still!! Unfortunately some of his teachers just didn't give a darn. I talked to his math teacher when he was in Jr High. Tried to explain to here that he could not listen to what she was telling them and write stuff from the board down at the same time. She told me "That's how I teach so he just needs to figure out how to deal with it" I called the school board and turned her in. Not sure that it really helped but I sure felt better  Teachers like that need to retire!!
