It's slowly getting more and more dead around here as well. Phones are ringing less frequently, people everywhere have that glazed over look in their eyes awaiting the minute where they can stand up and shout "SCREW YOU GUYS.. I'm going home!"

Hell, I bailed an hour ago (11:30 AM) and am packing up the Jeep for the trip to the cottage. GG, CHECK! batteries, CHECK! Spare Carto's, CHECK! Phiniacs, CHECK! Black coffee, Tony Montana, and Irish Cream in 18 mg, CHECK! Rum (and lots of it), CHECK! Looks like I'm ready to go!

What does everyone have planned for the long weekend? We're supposed to have great weather all weekend here so I'm thinking I'll try to get some golf in, probably a beer on a patio. In honor of Canada day maybe I'll have to pull out some FC Maple tobacco.

What does everyone have planned for the long weekend? We're supposed to have great weather all weekend here so I'm thinking I'll try to get some golf in, probably a beer on a patio. In honor of Canada day maybe I'll have to pull out some FC Maple tobacco.

As I mentioned elsewhere, the fam and I are heading up north to Southampton, on the shores of Lake Huron. We're sharing a cottage with the in-laws for a week or so. Thankfully they're good people, so it's not nearly as bad as it sounds. I plan on doing not much except maybe kicking back and reading a lot. We'll be taking the kids to watch the fireworks on the beach on Canada Day, and maybe catching the antique car show that happens on Thursday.

Well have fun all you folks that are having a long weekend. I work at the Beer Store, in cottage country, so needless to say that's where I'll be all weekend. And no, we don't get samples.

I tell ya though, come Sunday after work I'll be party'n hard, and Monday too. Sure won't be looking forward to the foggy day at work on Tuesday

Going to Fort Saskatchewan to take the kids to see the fireworks. They're not as good as the ones in Edmonton, but it's "safer". That's the plan anyway, unless the kids really want to see the waterfall coming from one of their favourite bridges. Other than that, mow the lawn, set up the tent and the sprinkler in the backyard for the kids, drink beer and play WoW. Laundry may or may not get done.
