So the mailman came today and I signed with haste so I could rip the box open and take a look at my new baby.

I loaded up some BWB Blend on a fresh cisco 2.5 ohm and dialed in around 4.4 and did my first squonk! It took me a few tries to get used to it but now I see how easy and amazing it is.

I like how you can't really flood the atty because it seems to fully saturate it and then the excess drains down. I just take a dry pull to make sure everything is saturated and then the rest goes back down. So great! My only disappointment is that my current attys are not doing it justice. I get great performance and vapor from the Cisco but the flavor just totally lacks on all 3 of my juices. So I'm going to try some Boba's Bounty when it arrives, and then check out the io6s and 357s now with bottom feeding.

My only question is how do you clean these wood mods? I couldn't find anything on it. I don't know how the finish is so I thought I would ask before I do anything. It shouldn't really be getting dirty I know, but I see some dust or excess of something in certain areas I'd like to touch up.

I noticed the juice well has a couple greyish/brown stains and I took a cutip to it to no avail. Any idea what this is and how I can remove it?

All in all the best I've ever used and I look forward to trying optimal atomizers and flavors with it.

I just use 000 steel wool on my brass catch cups. The outside is easy and the inside I tear a tiny piece and hold it over a Q-tip.

You fill find depending on the juice the cup may turn different shades of color(s)

I think it tastes best once the cup becomes "seasoned" with some juice so I don't clean them too often. Only if something looks or tastes really wrong.

Congrats on the new VV

I was reading the Brasso reviews and they said the formula changed and hasn't been working. Is Twinkle any good or is Brasso still good enough to do the job?

Thanks guys!

My bottle of brasso works for me...BUT it is about 10 years old!
Twinkle and Brassmate have several reviews scattered about the web...
Amazon.com: BrassMate and Copper Liquid Polish Cleaner Tarnish Remover 64 Ounces: Home & Kitchen

There are a pile of "home-made" brass cleaning concoctions as well if you search for the best way to clean brass on google...

I use the Never Dull on the catch cup. I have seen amazing results. I always apply some wax first on the wood around the cup. I don't wipe off the wax until after cleaning/polishing the cup. Just like to protect the wood in case some might touch it. It's all about the wood ya know!

Neverdull is what we used on every piece of metal (just about) in the USAF. It works fantastic. I personaly use blue painters tape on the wood around my catch cups before cleaning the brass with anything. (The blue painters tape doesn't leave any residue...)

I use the blue painters tape on my fret board and neverdull to polish my frets on all my basses. It works like magic, I think I will plan on useing this same set up on my REO too.

I saw in a website they sell a "wax" cleaner for wood mods , look it up :)

Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I got this off the Howard's site:
"Build-up" is a combination of dirt, grime, wax etc. and is usually caused by a lack of cleaning and not by over-applying wax. A quality wax will not "build-up" but will dissolve and redistribute itself on every application while the excess should come off on the soft cloth every waxing. Orange or Lemon Oil helps break down this excess build-up, however they do not remove all of the wax like many wood "cleaners" do. Feed-N-Wax should be used every two months or so depending on how dry the wood is, the type of wood finish, climate, etc. - Howard Oils can be used every time you dust.
Feed-N-Wax is a blend of beeswax, carnauba wax, and Orange Oil that is of a gel consistency.
