I was totally bummed out tonight as we had our dinner at the inlaws today........ I was all hyped up for a severe turkey pigout only to be slapped in the face with a roast of lamb dinner !! WTH !?!?!?
OK, it was delicious I have to admit, but I mean.... COME ON !!!..... its like when your expecting to wake up on a Sunday morning to a nice eggs bennedict breakfast with extra backbacon and there, sitting on your plate, is a hard boiled egg !!! It just aint right I tell ya........

do what i do ... grab whatever your fave meat is, white or dark, and cook it up with all the fixings one night.
ok, so it's not on the "holiday" but that turkey smell still goes through the house, doens't it?
i live on the second floor. that turkey smell floated down past the elevators.
most people around here do celebrate on the monday. so people were asking why today? my daughters birthday is on the 12th.
Ahh Day one of the leftovers lol. I think the 2nd and third day after the actual supper are way better. Nothing like turkey sandwiches dipped in gravy. Hope everyone had a good long weekend!
