I thought I would share my thoughts on this new flavoring I just received a few days ago. A bit of a preamble though:
I've been trying to replace analogues with my 510 and the battle wasn't going very well. This biggest step forward was actually using a PV base with nicotine in addition to my VG non-nicotine base. It was only after using nicotine that I was able to recreate the th I get when smoking. There are some things that nicotine liquid doesn't recreate, like the sting on the tongue from the smoke of an analogue, or the taste of smoke after exhaling. I read by someone that they found their battle impossible until they got some tobacco flavoring for their juice. So I did the same.
I purchased two tobacco flavourings, one of which I will talk about here, named 'Dark Vapure'. My mix is approximately half 36mg VG and half pure VG with an added 10% of the flavoring.
The flavoring is advertised as having a predominately Cocoa, Vanilla, and woody taste, in that order. There are two distinct tastes that I get from this mix. The first is an immensely dry, sweet wood taste. The dryness is packaged with the woddy taste and is a mix of something like 60-70% cedar, 10-15% saw dust from shop class, and 15-30% cocoa (not chocolate, but cocoa). Today I took a massive draw and on the exhale taste slight hints of maple syrup! It reminded me of spring camp when I was a kid where they had maple trees tapped for sap, horses well kept for riding, and the smell of forest all around.
As far as trying to quit smoking goes, this flavorings has proved to be promising. I was intitally drawn to getting sugary flavors like Cotton Candy, Pina Colada, and Cheesecake, but as I stepped onto my balcony, neither of these sugary flavors gave me the chemical, dirty, cigarettesque hit that I didn't realize was so important in my smoking ritual. The 'Dark Vapure' is enough like a tobacco taste that I do get that hit that I like from smoking.
I'll share my results with the other flavoring I purchased, "Desert Ship Blend" and once I've done a small batch of that, the RY4 from Happy Vaper.
