Hi everyone! Yesterday I bought a bunch of batteries together with 2 new atomizers. One of them seems to be very hard. I have to suck on it real hard for the light to come on. I suck the primer puff, but for the second the batt doesn´t come on at all. I sucked and puffed onto it, but it gets harder by the minute... Any other suggestions or should I return it? thanks!

As a general rule, the lights on PV battery chargers are filthy liars.

I've had a flat battery pop up a green light in less than 5 mins.
Even the instruction manual that came with my new 510 said "ignore the light on the battery charger at all times - and give it a full 8 hours charge to start with"

That said, DOA parts are not that uncommon so I'd go ahead and claim warranty on it if it truly is dead.

A lot of the auto batteries come with stiff switches. I noticed that most will loosen up with use, and will become easier to draw on.

Manual batteries will solve that problem, but they're not perfect either. There are post's in the Tech Issues Forum of problems with both types.

It all boils down to personal prefrance, and once you get your technique and understanding tweeked, there will be less issues with either type.

I have four 901 auto batteries, two of which work perfectly, and the other two are "stiff", like Jim Davis is saying.
I read in a thread that it is helpful to cover the little hole with your finger to help with a troublesome battery. What i did was to start my draw with the hole covered, and take my finger off the hole when it seemed like it was vaping good. Over time, it became harder to tell which of the four batteries were the "difficult" ones, as indeed they seem to be loosening up.
Of course, now that I am using a 510 with manual batteries, the 901 is assigned to backup duty.

Good luck!

Dirty dog: I´ll certainly give that a try...

I live in Argentina and manual batts haven´t come our way yet. We´re asking the local supplier to bring them in. It´s very hard to buy ANYTHING abroad, through mail, so we´ll have to do with what´s available for the time being...

And.. Does it happen to you that one battery works better with a certain atomizer? I have two all the time because if I´m not getting good contact or the battery is simply hard, I switch atomizers and suddenly it goes more smoothly...
