Hard pull on after-market clearomizers?

Hi everybody,

I have an eGo CE4. When I bought it, it had a very easy pull which I like (not sure what that's called -- I'm talking about the amount of suction required to get the amount of vapor I want). But when I broke my original CE4 clearomizer and bought some clearomizers separately (i.e., a 5-pack of the plain jane clearomizers), they all have a hard pull (an annoyingly large amount of suction is required to get the same amount of vapor as with the clearomizer that came with the CE4). So I bought another CE4 just to get a clearomizer with an easy pull. Of course I dropped it and now I'm having to use the hard-pull clearomizers I just mentioned.

Is it normal for the "after-market" clearomizers to have a hard pull? Does anybody know how I can get an original (or equivalent) eGo clearomizer with an easy pull without having to buy a whole new CE4?

Thanks!

Different CE4 type clearomizers will have different draws, depending on manufacturer, there's no rhyme of reason to it. It's one reason many vapers prefer to use either the EVOD cleros, or the Mini-ProTank 2, they're available almost anywhere. They are an advanced version of the CE-4 carto you have, and the coils are replaceable for cost savings.

p.s. Welcome to ECF!! :toast:

I'm partial to the Protank Mini v2 - a glass tank. I have tried many of the plastic tanks and the "pull" is all over the board. The protank Mini v2 is consistent and very easy. With a glass tank you don't have to worry about your eliquid cracking the tank and the flavor is better IMHO.

The Protank Mini v3 is now available and the price is around $10 on EBay and fasttech (out of China) has them for under $7. On FastTech they are currently sold out but I've got them on my wish list to reorder +5 when they are back in stock.

I will second the Mini Protank 2 or an Evod. They are very consistent as far as draw and build quality. If you do choose to get one, be careful to that you get a Mini Protank 2 or an original Evod (the single coil ones). Just released is a Mini Protank 3 and an Evod 2 that are both dual coils. I think they would be a little over kill for your Ego battery.
