I'm looking for a hard shell case for my V3 and Protank. I carry my V3 (with Evod) in my pocket in 18350 mode. I don't feel too secure with it in my jeans front pocket or cargo pants/shorts side pocket. I carried my Halo Triton in my pocket in an Epi Pen case and it was perfect. It protected everything from getting crushed/damaged while in my pocket, kept pocket lint from getting in, and everything was sealed up in case there were any leaks, which there never was.

There's no way I'm carrying the thing on a lanyard or on my belt, so please don't go there.

I'm thinking a cigar tube, but don't know what size would work best. My local cigar shop didn't have any single cigar tubes nor anything else that my setup fit right in.

Anyone else have my requirements and find a solution? It's form over function, so I'm not hung up on what it looks like. If I was hung up on looks, I wouldn't have used the Epi Pen case for my Halo Triton.

Hey JR...I just spotted a newer post than yours titled "problem I am having carrying Evo in my pocket". Someone there linked the "Rugged Optics case". Maybe this is an option for you? It may be too bulky for your requirements, though. Cigar tube sounds like a great idea, I just can't seem to pull the trigger and order one from Amazon or someplace and have it be the wrong size!
Good luck!

you can use the piece the converts it to small mode. you can screw the one on the top and then the top cap while the protank is attached
It may look like a single piece and different
I don't know if it would do any help :)

That was almost crazy enough to work. The removable top ring doesn't fit over the Protank, and the second tube (that's needed for 18650) isn't quite long enough. The tube covered up to about the half way point of the glass section. If the top ring fit over the Protank, the mouthpiece would stick out.

Great idea though. I like where your head is at.

I think that's going to be too bulky. I'm going to visit a cigar shop sometime this week. If I can't find one that fits, at least I'll have a good idea of what to look for.

Quoting the same post twice...

I tried both battery tubes attached to the top, and the ring on top of those; basically the part with the buttons on the bottom and the bottom cap on the bottom (to cover up the innards).

That's got great potential for situations like putting it in a carry-on. If I carried it around like that in my pocket, I'd have to disassemble and reassemble the entire thing every time I wanted to vape, and carry the battery around in another pocket.

I may end up doing that for travel purposes if I don't find something.
