Good afternoon everyone!I have'nt been here to much but I do enjoy seeing how everyone here seems to be so giving.I wish I was able to participate more but I'm not very good at computer skills but slowly trying to learn.I also am working on getting a voice rec. program of some sort so I can post easier.Lord love ya I'm just glad to find a place where folks are are genuine.I wanted to let all know that I am selling some items in the classified so take a look and if you see any thing your interested in PM me. Might be good if your looking for a starter for some one. Some items have been sold but a few left.I peaked in here a few days ago but it was dead;Glad to see all are back in full spirit.God bless.Gramakittycat:)

It takes a bit to train one of these but they are getting better. There are several free/low-cost versions around too. Let me know if you need more info and I'll try to hunt out the better ones for you.

GKK, Dragon Speaking Naturally is a program that I've set up for people at my workplace when they can't type all of the time. Some that have been there for 40+ years and have been sitting in front of a computer for 25+ years and have developed some health issues. It works great though and is cheap enough at 30 bucks! Hope this helps a bit ;) Nuance Dragon Naturally Speaking Standard v10 BB With Headset at TigerDirect.com

If you have Windows 7, the included software is pretty much on par with Dragon speaking Naturally. If not, that'd be the direction I'd tell you to go as well. There are some free programs out there but none quite as good as it.

If your child is still K-12, you really should contact his school and potentially revise his IEP. Have them get the software for his use at home. If he's past K-12, there are a lot of initiatives out there to get AT to adults with disabilities. PM me if you need some direction or if I can help out further.
