Looking to gain some insight here and maybe help others with the information posted. Based on your experience and knowledge, what are the hardest flavors to make right? Which vendors do you think does it best?

Suggested format:

Flavor:
DIB:
Reason:

My contributions:

Flavor: Coffee
DIB: unknown
Reason: All of the ones I've tried are very artificially tasting and taste like sweetened instant coffee grinds.

Flavor: Peanut Butter
DIB: unknown
Reason: always tastes muted to me

Flavor: Chocolate
DIB: unknown
Reason: always has that tootsie roll taste

Remember: taste is always subjective, just looking for each person's opinion. Feel free to recommend suggestions for e-liquid vendors to try for the hard to find good flavors.

Flavor: Pumpkin Pie/Pumpkin Spice
DIB: Apollo is barely tolerable
Reason: I've tried Darkest Days Vapor Pumpkin Head it was awful. I tried The Steam Co. Spice Channel it tasted like fruit. I tried Apollo Pumpkin Pie and it is barely tolerable but not enjoyable.

Sorry to get off topic, but have you tried Pun'kin Tumble from AiV? It's more of a pumpkin spiced cake, but you should give it a shot! It is divine!

By Far, the Hardest Flavor, and one of the First I tried, was Cherry.

It seemed so Simple. Just add Cherry Flavor and Badda Bing - Badda Bang, Cheery Flavored e-Liquid. Right?

Found it Wasn't so Simple to get the Cherry taste I was Looking for. And to get the Cherry Flavor that I was looking for, it needed a Drop or Two of Pineapple and a Drop or Two of White Pear.

That and a Lot of Sucralose.

For DIY Cherry, it may not be for everyone, but I love Inawera's Wera Garden Cherry flavour -- which I happen to vaping right now, in a cherry/toasted almond/sweet cream mix. It's delicious, and not very sweet... maybe a bit like sun dried cherries. I really wanted to avoid maraschino type flavors, or cherry koolaid, or cherry candy of any kind, and this one is ideal for me.

I've had the most difficult time finding a good chocolate. they ALL taste the same...

Then I tried Halo Belgium Cocoa and was absolutely knocked flat on my ....... phenomenal and fantastic and the most chocolaty juice I've tried... and I've tried a ton of them.

Also, Sweet-Vapes and Killer Juice makes some very good chocolate brownie juice... everyone who comes into my office says it smells like a bakery...

Flavor: Banana
DIB: The Plume Room
Reaon: All banana vapes taste like banana "flavoring" to me. Like banana candy. I have yet to try a real natural banana. The plume room does as good a job as possible but it's still not natural banana flavor.

The Plume Room is good - have you tried Ahlusion's Banana Cream Pie? Very natural.

No I haven't tried any AiV. I heard AiV were lightly flavored and wasn't sure I'd like it because I like flavor, not subtlety. I may have to give the Pun'kin a try. Thanks for the suggestion.

Hands down... any real tobacco... not the sweet dessert stuff that trys to mask it.
Also Cherry and Watermelon. Watermelon = no taste until it goes perfume. Cherry = cough drop.

Have you tried any of the Hangsen Tobaccos ??
There's a super (but long) thread on their flavors
If you drop in about 1/2 or 3/4 of the way through the thread, and go from there, it's mostly tobacco talk.
Lot's of "ashy", dry, strong, dark, un-sweet, type of references, and how they mix them or use them.
Most of the HS tobacco flavors you can use alone, between 5-7%
I fell in love with a few already.
I like the milder, little on the sweet side (RY4's) and I found there are a lot I DON'T want to try.
They are the ones that sound like what your looking for. Check it out.

On the Cherry ... I usually associate the flavor with pie, cola, cheesecake, and white chocolate, so I look for one on the sweet side without being "candy"
I kind of like the VapingZone Sweet Cherry SCG. It has a nice cherry flavor without being "syrupy".
