This may be in the wrong section and may belong in the modders forum, but how can an average guy like me go about getting the hardiest atty for the 901 or 510 connector? Im talking about thick nicrome, ceramic base and an atomizer that makes vapor like a beast. Is this something I dreamed or is there really something like this?

The LR 510 atty's IMO provide the most throat hit out of them all. They also provide a healthy amount of vapor as well. The LR306 atty also hits hard, both are well rounded atomizers. The only thing they lack are extreme durability. With that being said, I have yet to kill a LR atty in the 4 weeks I have been using them.

You can't... it's a MS-Windows Only device :)

OK, seriously though. I don't know of an atty the has all of that... it's the Holy Grail of atties. The 510's generally hit better, some with less flavor though. There's a section on making your own atty in the modders section, but I don't gather that's what you want. So, I'd stick with a 510 atty. Regular, not LR. But that's me. The vets probably have many opinions on atties and their individual attributes. Also, you didn't mention your setup, so IDK if 5 volts, or 3.7 or 3.2. A lot of people seem to recommend the Joye 510. Then again, some don't. Welcome to the wonderful world of opinions.

Maybe try:

Its called wine and virtual-machines. lol!

Also I dont like LR or HV. I like the cool sensation of vapor not hot vapor. (hot vapor isn't like smoke to me, its just weird IMO). Now what about making my own durable atty? How hard are they to make? I am familiar with soldering and im very handy with my hands but I dont know anything on the subject.

This may be hard to believe, but I have tried quite a few LR 510 attys, and the best (toughest and most vapor) I have found is from Eastmall. I dry burn them regularly since for some reason they seem to need it every few days. This being said, I don't even bother cleaning them anymore, and rarely blow one out. Usually I will give one about a 20 second dry burn, or until it is glowing red. I haven't popped one yet. I won't say they produce the most vapor of any atty, but so close to it, what you gain in longevity more than makes up for it IMO.

You'll need some decent magnification and a very light/deft touch to wrap the nichrome wire around the wick. And an iron with a rohs tip - 800-900 degrees - because nichrome is really hard to solder. Get some "Ruby Flux" rather than the usual rosin flux stuff and you can get the solder to stick.

bon chance...
