Hey guys, i have an ego 1000mah battery and i am using my moms 2 year old blucig cartridges and atomizers. She has never used her kit, so i thought i would just use her cartridges and atomizer. But i am having probelms here. My ecig is extremely harsh when i vape it. I do long and smooth hits and i still feel it harsh or spicy in my throat. I was wondering if the atomizer is too weak or too strong, and the cartridges are too old, so they taste extremeley harsh? What would you guys suggest to go with my ego battery that will not be harsh like spicey on my throat? Please let me know. Thanks

My first thought is that the cartos are just old. Juice gets funky when it gets old.
I would say that the carts are dry after 2 years.. giving a dry burnt taste? Try adding some juice to them if you have a bottle around.
Also, id move to cartomizers instead of carts. They are the cart and atty together, much easier to use.

I agree. usual juce life is 1yr. Juice sitting around in a cartridge for 2yrs would taste pretty yucky.
Harsh hits:
1) Bad Atomization - carto/atty not performing up to stuff. Atties can be cleaned. Cartos... most can but iffy and harder. They're disposable. Toss em.
2) Nasty juice - nuff said.
3) Too much nic. Nic is harsh. However, it usually smooths out of 1 & 2 are OK.
For your future reference... once you get a kit/combo that works... it won't be nasty like that. Thus begins the "e-cig journey" ... finding an acceptable vape.

I would have to agree with everyone else on here as well. 2 years is a long time for cartomizers to be sitting around and most likely they have dried up on you. For example, I use Total brand e-cigs and cartomizers and the cartomizers for them expire within a year of being manufactured if they aren't used within that time. Your easiest option here is just to get some new cartomizers that are compatible with the battery you already have. I wish you the best of luck.

Yeah their first kits were carts/atty style and not 510's. They were like a mini 4081. That was the first kit I bought. At the time their business skyrocketed. Orders were taking up to a month to ship out. Both my batteries and my atomizer died in the first 2 weeks and after fighting for another month for replacements, I gave up and bought something else.
They are still in business and seem to have stepped up their game, but the experience left a bad taste in my mouth (literally) lol
thanks for all the advice guys, i appreciate it. do you guys also know which cartomizers would fit inside of my cone cover that goes on top of my ego 1000mah battery? because i had some XL CE2 clearomizers and the cone piece could not fit over the clearomizer, so i had to return the clearomizers and that is why i was left with a crappy atomizer and cartridge (blucig). I actually have a lot of juice that i can refill, so i would actually prefer empty cartomizers. anyone know where i can get some empty cheap cartomizers for my ego that WILL fit inside of the cone cover? Thanks!
anyone know of some sites that have any reasonable priced cartomizers that have a LR 510 atomizer inside of the cart?
VapeLite currently Boge single coil cartos on sale for 5.00 5/pk, available either LR or SR. Regularly priced 5.99 5/pk, cheapest price I have found for Boge cartos. Nice man, forum supplier, great customer service.
Well, you have a couple options here. Standard size cartos should fit in your cone no problem, like Boges. You'll run into issues with Smok Tech XL cartos or "Resurrectors".
You can buy big bore cones from Hoosier that will fit the XL cartos. From what I understand, these will thread on a normal eGo just fine.
That is a damn good price - VapeLite just made my list of vendors to try.
After checking the VapeLite site though, it looks like Boge cartos are $6.95 for 5...is there a promo code I'm not aware of?
