I stumbled across their website a couple of days ago and the prices seemed to be decent so I bought a few things. I was in kind of a hurry, so didn't do my due diligence and started wondering. I've purchased from a couple other overseas suppliers before so I'm aware of the shipping time; that's not a problem. When I look for reviews, I really haven't found any worthwhile ones. So my question/concern is did I just throw away a few bucks or can I expect to get what I ordered?

Thanks in advance.

I just ordered a bunch of stuff from them for me and a friend...most of the stuff is for my friend. Got some XTAR VP1s, XTAR 18350s, Panasonic NCR18650PF and a couple Vamo V5s. I'm most worried about the batteries being legit. The information page for the panasonics states different discharge rates than everywhere else. Aside from the mAhs and a couple other things the specs are the same as the other panasonic. It makes me wonder if they just copied and pasted that info. I ordered the stuff two nights ago, but technically Nov. 21 in China...and right now it would be saturday. Not sure if they work on sat. Nothing has changed in terms of my orders.

Ordered some stuff from fast tech too, and the stuff that was in stock has already been packed and shipped.

I'm also sort of wondering if fg is any good because there aren't that many reviews on them. I did just read HERE that AW lists that fg sells fake AWs, but they don't have any AW cells at the moment. When it comes to batteries, I really don't trust anyone, even US dealers, because in the end I feel like they're all coming from the same place.

I'm sort of inclined to purchase something that would be able to test the batteries capacity and stuff, but not sure what that would be since a multimeter would only measure the voltage.

Anyways...it's been a while since you posted...any updates?

I'm thinking about purchasing a battery charger/discharger to find out the capacities of the batteries...if they ever arrive. I really hope it doesn't take over a month. My last mod from fasttech arrived ten days after ordering. I wish I could have ordered from them, but FGs prices were a little better.

If there is anyone else out there who has ordered stuff from Fairy-gift, any insight on on them would be greatly appreciated.

I ordered on Sunday, Nov 10, they shipped on Wed, Nov 13
Hit New York on Tue, Nov 19 then NJ on Wed to Orlando
Been sitting in Orlando Sort Facility for 3 days according to USPS tracking.
Other than Orlando, the order processing and shipment time seems to be normal and acceptable. This is the land of Mickey Mouse so who knows how long it will take to get to me.

Just an update ... I got the package today so almost 2 weeks to the day including the time at the local sort facility. I only did a small order - a ProTank II, a mini PT II and a Vision Spinner but no AW type batteries. However, the Vision did look like oem version so either they are really good at duplicating or I got the real thing. The only downside is that I ordered a grey mini and they sent a clear. Other than that, I'm satisfied with the packaging and shipping time...and will probably order again.

From what I am told by the guys on the flashlight forums is that you need a hobby charger to test actual capacities and etc.

Thanks for the advice Gr8Scott...i had ordered THIS before I saw your post. Got it yesterday. Also got all my stuff from fairy-gift Friday and today which means it took 9 & 11 days to receive my two packages.

I'm currently testing one of the XTAR batteries with the Thunder AC6. It's discharging at 0.2A from fully charged in the XTAR VP1 and is down to 3.56V and showing a capacity of 465mAh. I'm guessing it'll get close to the 850mAh it's rated at. I'm going to run a few charge/discharge cycles on it so we'll see how close I do get.

Haven't done any of the panasonic ncr18650...uh...i just noticed that they all say NCR18650PD, not PF. I'm going to shoot them an email after this post. But I'll maybe post those numbers once I'm done checking them all.

The Vamo V5's seem to be legit and work well...as well as the XTAR VP1s (checked the scratch off inquiry on one).

Lemme know how it goes :)

Coincidentally I am just recently really wondering the same thing about the batteries. I've been ogling some MNKEs, Efest 30ampers as well as the venerable Panny CGR18650CHs and though I don't do sub-ohming (yet). But if I do, I would like to see what I am actually working with way ahead of putting a potential grenade near my mug. Whether the brand is legit.(or not)

Battery counterfeiters should be strung up by their scrot-bags, dipped in Karo syrup and lowered into a pit full of fire ants.

That Thunder AC6 looks much more Tonka than the Imax. You shouldn't feel like "Ahh, man" 'cuz I think you have a solid tool.

How user friendly is the process of testing 'em?

So far I was able to discharge the one XTAR 18350 850mAh and it came out to 889mah. Didn't do a charge because I wanted to move on to the Panasonic batteries. Have been discharging one and it's down to 3.41V and showing 2224mAh. It's rated at 2900mah so I'm hoping it will get around there. I'm a little annoyed that they sent me the PD's not PF's. The site says it's now a PD but the pic and the website title on the top of my browser says PF. Haven't gotten a response yet from them regarding that.

The Thunder AC6 was a bit confusing at first. It took me a bit of fiddling to set the battery type to Li-Io from the default Li-Po, but once I read through the manual a few times it was ok. Had to turn off the charge/discharge time cutoff as it was set at 120min because it stopped once it hit 120 and wasn't done. Discharging and charging at 0.2A will probably take a week for me to check my batteries as the Panasonic is on minute 672. I may turn charging and discharging up to 0.5 to speed up the process, but probably won't get as accurate a reading on the capacities.

Although the capacities are close to where they're supposed to be so far, it still doesn't convince me that the batteries are 100% legit. I don't know if there is any way to tell. However, it does ease my mind that they at least don't have flour in them.

I am ordering the vamo v5 from there, I pray my Lavatube will hold out till it arrives. My lavatube connector going bad - reads 9.9 or 0. If I fiddle with it I can get it to work, but tired of the fiddling process lol. I have 4 18650 batteries. So I wanted a mod that would use those. Two came with Lavatube li-ion 18650 2200mah 3.7v they are blue no name. I ordered 2 more a week ago (after continually reading on ECF to have back-ups for your back-ups lol) 2 Samsung INR (?) 18650 SDI (?) I have no idea about these batteries. Hope it doesn't take a month for Mod.

Just ordered, but switched to fastech for free shipping instead of fairy gifts.

UPDATE to my order:

I tested the batteries...below are the results after one discharge. The charger/discharger didn't seem to discharge to 3.0. It would stop around 3.4

XTAR 18350
1. 889 mAh
2. 850 mAh
3. 844 mAh
4. 856 mAh

Panasonic NCR18650PD
1. 2717 mAh
2. 2596 mAh
3. 2670 mAh
4. 2683 mAh
5. 2686 mAh

Most of the batteries were discharged at a rate of 0.4mAh...some were 0.2 but i bumped it up because it was taking too long.

I used one of the Panasonics and it lasted me much longer than my AW 18650 1600mAh battery that came with my Volcano Lavatube kit. I usually get a little over one day of vaping on the AW with my lava tube, but with the Panasonic I was able to get 3 full days. It didn't show low V, but i decided to recharge it...when i put it in the charger it read 3.39V.

Since they sent me Panasonic NCR18650PDs instead of NCR18650PFs, they offered me $10 credit or $8 cash (i'm assuming in the form of a refund). Although you can get some things a bit cheaper at fairy-gift than fasttech, fasttech has a better return policy, more selection, free shipping on most products. I'm fairly happy with my purchases from fairy-gift, but wish they had more selection. Also, they offer rewards points but i can not find any information on how to use them.

The vamp v5s were purchased for a friend and I delivered them yesterday. One of them apparently came apart, but I think it's common as they are just press-fitted together. It is kind of annoying that this happened as it's discouraging to anyone who just started vaping. Hopefully the internals are not damaged and it can be put back together. According to another thread, fg is a legit ksd reseller so I'm guessing this just happens sometimes...it is cold out, so...

:( Well, I need to reconsider FG. Most of their prices pretty good but only if you get what you order. I emailed about not getting the grey PT II mini and Justin emailed back that he would send me a couple of heads. That was on 11/28. Nothing yet and no response from last weeks email either. Contrast that with MyVaporStore who replaced a bad PT II tube the same day I emailed him. It's not that big a deal but just the principle of it. Just a heads up.

I have come across this site very often, and I always browse but never buy ... I find their prices too high for a Chinese vendor. If I am going to endure the longer wait due to shipping from abroad, I expect a hefty discount on prices to do so, and fairy gifts prices are too close to US vendor prices for me to be bothered with waiting.

I feel that vendors like this profit the most off of new vapers, who haven't been around long enough to know how much they should be paying for what, and from whom. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying their prices are highway robbery or anything .. far from it. I just know what a good bargain from a Chinese vendor is, and isn't. For example, $40 plus shipping from China for a VV Mod/body only, is really not that good of a deal to me. However, $25-30 for the same Mod with free shipping is a little more worth my time, and the risk.

If I am going to wait 8-30 days for a shipment, in addition to taking the risk of possibly receiving a defective product (which could happen with a US vendor as well), that would be a PITA to send back, and get a replacement/refund etc, it had better be one hell of a bargain ... which I feel fairy gifts does not offer... Just my :2c:

Good point Nakitta6. Granted, I'm a newer vaper, again, but I've been around the block a couple of times and I learned a long time ago that companies use "lost leaders" to get people in the door in hopes they will not examine or compare prices of the other merchandise too closely. Fairy-gift is no exception. I've noticed that some of their items actually cost more than from US dealers. I got a better price on an iTaste MVP stateside and quicker delivery. I was looking for some AW IMR batteries for my Zmax. FG doesn't carry them but I got a good deal here plus I'm not as concerned with them blowing up in my face (not that I'm all that good looking to begin with but I'm kind of partial to the way it is). When they advertise Sumsung batteries, is it a typo or something else? FG does have some good deals but few that I would call "one hell of a bargain". At any rate, now that I have experienced their customer service, I will be looking elsewhere. It's just the principle.
