i dont see what the FDAs problem is, i mean if we order batteries and atomizers from china whats the deal? i can see if we are buying lots of eliquid which is a drug/poison that they could regulate. but other than the fact they are marketed as 'smoking alternatives' the fda has to get involved, but other than that its just batteries and a heating element.

You're missing the point. We're not paying outragous taxes on e-cigs right now. If the FDA gets e-cigs classified as a drug delivery device, they can get their foot in the door. Along with the nicotine control, they can have it all.

Health & safety means nothing to the FDA. It's all about the money.

Well it could shine a light on a potential problem of our US suppliers running out of stock and not being able to get new in to sell to us.

It's a definate problem right now. Some of those guys took a real beating on that last Customs mess. And when this happened, the FDA had not yet taken over on the issue.

This country is falling apart, and the FDA will put these guys out of business just to line their own pockets.

They just got control of analogs, makes sense they are going to grab PVs too.

I've been trying to search the internet for any bans as of yet, found this:

Senate Passes FDA Tobacco Bill - WSJ.com

which puts a scare in me. It's just not looking good. I've lots of stock, but think I'll order more.

Not sure why, and I'm pretty sure it's a rumor, but a friend just called and said another friend (who travels and deals with a lot of truck stops) was told that the FDA just banned all ordering from China. I told her I'd check it out, and so far it's just looking like a rumor, but it sure got my attention!

The legislation concerns tobacco products. I think this is the real reason that Johnson Creek reformulated it's juices, they no longer contain tobacco:
From News from Johnson Creek Blog Archive A Letter from the Founder ,July 9th, 2009:
"Our ʻJuice Masters here at Johnson Creek have come up with a recipe that meets all of the above characteristics and more, yet also happens to use fewer ingredients and is 100% tobacco-free! That’s right, in anticipation of any future FDA regulations, we’re making these changes to ensure that the world’s favorite and most trusted smoke juice will be available for decades to come! And as always, our smoke juice is completely American- made and all of our ingredients are sourced from companies right here in the United States."
