I don't know that device and briefly looked it up... Looks like a fairly standard cigalike?

I will say that I have used nicotine salts in all my mods since starting DIY (I did start with regular freebase nicotine, storebought) and have noticed little difference other than my coils last longer (but mainly because I am using less flavorings) and I've noticed no other vaping differences. I can't say for certain whether it would be a problem, but there are plenty of other cigalikes, such as the Juul, that use nic salts. I'm fairly confident you will not have a problem.

I will say one person reported that his nic salts went through coils more quickly and etc., but it appeared to be isolated to a sort of nic salts that he used that had been manipulated more than most nic salts are as sold. The majority of folks on that thread reported having no problems, so if you are purchasing premade nic salts to use, I am still relatively confident you will be okay.

Best of luck,

Anna

Not all nicotine salts contain benzoic acid...Nicotine river lists the salts as Benzoic acid free.

The Juul pod systems use benzoic acid. Don't know about Halo but you can ask if they are benzoic acid free or not.

Naked 100 also has a nic salt line. Don't know about benzoic in it or not.

hello! I was wondering if anyone here has used this device...?

I like the look of it, but they couldn’t tell me on their site whether or not it would work with Nic Salts (no surprise - they don’t use them and want you to buy their liquid too)
The batteries are called "cigalikes" in the vaping community. Batteries made to look somewhat like you are smoking a real cigarette. If this will be your first exposure to vaping, then let me save you some frustration, time, and money. Run. Run far away.

I began my vaping experience with a similar setup. Within a month I had retired them and got a mod setup. Many who start out with a cigalike go back to smoking. There's a good reason why Big Tobacco only dabbles with cigalikes such as Blu and Vuse; they know they suck and people will go back to smoking. Not many of those folks find an information-based forum like this one to assist them along the way. I'm lucky that I did, and I have been tobacco free for 5 years.

The cigalike devices are extremely expensive in the long run. The satisfaction from users is among the worse. Poor battery life; way too small to be effective. Cartos which hold very little e-liquid. You end up needing to carry several setups to last out a day.

Please look into either an Ego setup or a "mod" setup. I know. They look nothing like a cigarette. But these setups offer far longer battery time, a superior juice delivery system, a greater overall satisfaction most akin to smoking. If you are serious about quitting, you need one of those two setups.

When you start vaping, you will no longer be a smoker. You will be a vaper. Vaping is different from smoking. The sooner you accept that fact the better. BUT, if you give vaping a good shot with one of the more advanced setups, you'll have a far greater chance to quit.

By vaping, three things happen:
  • You replace the physical addiction to nicotine with vapor instead of smoke. No combustion means harm reduction and still getting your nic.
  • Vaping replicates the "hand-to-mouth" behavior so meshed with smoking.
  • Vaping replicates the "need to inhale and exhale" a visible substance.
  • This is why traditional methods of trying to quit with nicotine gum, lozenges, patches, and hypnosis fail because none address all of the above.

Best of luck to you.

To answer your original question, I have a Halo G6 pocket kit but I don't actually use it. I got it as a freebie when I bought some juice from them a while back. It is a standard KR808D-1 kit (takes me back to my early days of vaping :)). Any KR808D-1 batteries and cartomizers should be compatible with the G6 system.

I don't use nic salts either, but I can't think of any reason why you couldn't use it in the 808D cartomizers.

In closing, I'd have to agree with Baditude that you would be better served with a more advanced device. The 808D wasn't bad for it's day, but that day has passed, IMO. That's my :2c:, anyway.
