Halo g6 no flavor

Hello, new user here.

So I just purchased and received the Halo G6 cigalike and after charging it and pouring e liquid into the cartomizer, it seems to not be giving out any flavor (mouth or throat). However, there is vapour that comes out, but no taste whatsoever. Im not using Halo's e liquid if that has anything to do with it, but I am using e liquid that I think is 50/50 PG/VG (no nic) that is boysenberry flavor. I had a previous mod which (using the same eliquid) I could taste the flavor 100% but after using it on the halo g6, there is no flavor at all. Basically im puffing empty vapours onto the air lol. I know cigalikes are much weaker in general but is it supposed to be this weak that it is flavorless or is it my e liquid? Any g6 or cigalike users, please help me out! Thanks

Not sure a cartomizer is going to work well with 50/50 juice. Back in the day, these worked better with higher pg (thinner liquid). Might try the mini tank they have (Kanger T4) tho not sure it will do well with thicker juice either.

Also the ohms of cartomizers. Halo has an LR (low resistance) version that is 2.1-2.3 ohms. That might work better than the standard ones.

Welcome and glad you joined.
I started out in carto's years ago. My guess is you may have a wrong ohm setup on a fixed volt/watt device.
The ohm rating on the carto should be very close to the power output of the device recommended.
I would take it to a B&M vape shop, and let them comment as to the possible cause.
There are many parameters that can cause your problem, hang in there. There is nothing wrong with cartos if that what works for you.

I've no idea about your device as I've never used it but thought I'd welcome you to ecf! Hopefully you can figure out how to get some flavor out of that thing.. I know it's the awesome flavors that kept me vaping for three years!

If you can't get that worked out there are plenty of excellent devices that provide really good flavor! Sorry I have no real input..

I had the exact same thing happen to me when I first started vaping, I could see the vapor but got no flavor at all. I ended up buying a Eleaf Pico with a melo tank and finally was able to get some flavor. On the Kanger I ended up using a different tank and was able to get some flavor with that vaporizer.

I know very little about that tank either, and haven't used cartomizers. I would recommend contacting the company/vape shop you bought it from to see if you can get it working better for you. If that doesn't work, I'd recommend trying a setup that has variable wattage, a tank with coils that you pour juice into, and etc. There are several easy going "beginner" setups that might give you a better and more versatile experience.
