So I quit smoking (again) 2 weeks ago when I got sick with a cold, and I figured it was a good time to put down the analogs and start vaping again. I lost my voice while sick.. and though I can talk for the most part now, it still hasn't fully come back and I still sound like a ...... talking...

I'm starting to question if it's the vaping... I'm keeping myself hydrated of course but I notice when I wake up, i'm much more dehydrated in the morning (plus i seem to mouth breathe) since i started vaping

has anyone lost their voice and what did you do for it to come back? this never happened to me before and it's been pretty much 2 weeks and my voice hasn't came back... can't really afford going to the doctor.. any advice or similar story anyone?

I came across this after i experienced what I now believe were withdrawal symptoms. Right after I switched to vaping, I was notified by my md that I may have contracted meningitis form some contaminated injections and to be on the lookout for a myriad of symptoms, alot of which resembled symptoms that the steriods were supposed to help anyway.if that wasn't enough to make me want to pick up the stinkies (probably gonna die anyway, right?) anyway, I stuck with my decision to vape and proceeded into panic mode.
im not generally excitable, but people had already died and the toll was going up every day so it was on my mind. I was having chest pains, headaches, flulike symptoms, dizzy spells, you name it.i was in and out of the hospital for a while and I should be out of the woods.
I never once mentioned to medical professionals, other than during standard intake while I was going through this that I had just made the decision to stop injesting 4000 chemicals/69 carcinogens 40 times a day. I have since brought this up, and my doc is agreeable that I was going through withdrawals on top of being anxious about the meningitis thing.
My body, after years of smoking, had become dependent on these chemicals, to the point of being dysfunctional without them.
I'm not saying you shouldn't get yourself checked out,but you may be experiencing similar effects.
Check out this link, then you decide what's best for you:

^ thank you for that daddytwigs. those links reminded me of some things i forgot about, especially the dry mouth and sore throat part. i think the combination of being sick, quitting cigarettes, and then vaping just overkilled on the dehydration.

i googled a recipe of gargling hot water, apple cider vinegar, and cayenne pepper which returned my voice for a little bit... gonna keep hydrating and gargling this and hopefully it comes back.

just 2 weeks of not having your voice fully back really sucks..

yes... i have lost my voice, not sure why, too many variables.
1. i usually vape 50/50, but I bought some 75/25, just to see the difference, and i personally see none
2. had a cold
3. only had been vaping for a couple of weeks
4. I work a job where i talk on a head set for nearly 12 hours straight...
Either way, it went away pretty quickly.... and now when my throat starts feeling funny I drink plenty of water.
