Has anyone thought you were doing drugs?

I was responding in another thread about an experience I had while at a tattoo shop last week, and I almost forgot about something else that happened which I thought was somewhat funny.

Next door to the tattoo shop I got to is a bank. The drive-through part faces the front door of the tattoo shop, where the artist takes her smoke breaks. There is a fence that seperates the two properties. We were halfway done with my new tattoo and took a quick five, she was smoking, and I was vaping on a Nicostick mod. The bank was closed because a construction crew was resurfacing the entire lot.

I was puffing away, and looked up to see a few of the construction guys grinning at me, and making hand motions like they were asking if I had any more "weed". (Their equipment was very loud, and you couldn't hear them even if they yelled.) Since I couldn't explain that it wasn't some sort of weird pipe, I just shook my head.

I just thought it was a strange experience. Anyone else had something similar happen?

When I was filling carts with syringes I got quite a few weird looks but now that I drip people just ask what it is. And a few people will ask if I can smoke weed with it but they're only the people I work with usually so I just say "no" or "it hasn't been tried I don't think but who knows i don't smoke but you can go buy one and try for yourself"

I use a converted travel size sewing kit to carry my cart filling supplies to work. On one side, I have 3ml & 6ml bottles of juices and on the other, I have tweezers, scissors, a blunt tip needle (for use like a paperclip) and a piece of cloth. I have this out everyday at lunch break and more than once, co-workers have commented that it looks like a heroine kit of some kind.

That is certainly a concern I have, as part of my habit is when I'm out at bars, and is part of the reason I'm very unlikely to pick up a mod.

No need to be nervous about it. I use mods exclusively now because I absolutely hate stock batteries. I've had people ask about the mods, and when I explain it to them, most of them think it's great. It's just that in the situation I described above, the noise level was too high to explain anything.

Remember, it's not a bad thing to draw a little attention to yourself when you are vaping. It can help to educate non-smokers, and I've actually had a couple of smokers who switched to vaping because they were curious about what I was doing.

Besides... once you use a 510 in a mod, going back to stock batteries really sucks. There just is no comparison.
