Braided kanthal wire? I got some from a guy in the classifieds for free.. has anyone ever tried it or heard the good and bad things about it?

My orion came set up that way and man was it hot! I couldn't stand to vape it. Burned the back of my throat so bad. I switched it out to standard round and its smooth as silk.

yeah, as i made this thread i was making a coil on my silverdog... same wick but with the braided and it lost about 50% of the flavor and it tastes like the coils are red hot, even though they arent.. defiantly gonna change this out right now lol.. FAIL

I understand that twisting the wire helps it a bit, but I never heard of braiding it before.

There is a youtube video I watched where a guy is rebuilding a addy with braided kanthal.
