Has Bickford's killed anybody's atomizer yet?

I hope not cuz it's doing pretty good in mine thus far. But I wish I had used it in a cheaper device just in case. (using the njoy for my 0nic smoker...wish I had used something else cuz my kissbox still hasn't shipped). ANYWAY...y'all having good luck with Bickford's?

Took Banana Doc's recommendation and bought cherry chocolate. To die for!

(for further clarification, I got five bottles of Bickford's. All have PG and natural flavors...in that order...only.)

I can't wait ... gonna order some nutty flavors since BananaDoc says they kind of have a smoky taste to them!

I got some alcohol flavored ones too. I love the brandy, sherry and champagne flavors! Wooooooooooooo! (too bad there's no likker in there!)

i'm assuming you are straight dripping the Bickfords right on to the atomizer with no cartridges, right?

how many drips per use? 1, 2 ?

Straight dripping. 2 or 3. Eventually I'm going to fill some cartridges, but I've been kinda lazy. Maybe instead of sitting around here on the internet, I should go ahead and extract the old stuff and put in the new?

I'll do it tomorrow.

I bought an "imitation rum extract" made by McCormick, at the supermarket.

Ingredients:
alcohol 29%, corn syrup, propylene glycol, water, artificial and natural flavors, caramel color, fd&c yellow 5 and red 40.

It killed my atomizer.

Sanneke. Never corn syrup. That's what killed your atomizer. Only flavor, alcohol and propylene glycol. Nothing else can be used.

Hmmmmmmm. I am starting to wonder...

1 atomizer bit the dust on me last week--before i really started on the Bick-drip... replaced a few days ago. Then another just checked out tonight.

The thing is, i have 2 identical penstyles from SmartFixx; so i cannot tell if it was a bad replacement atomizer or if the newer one just went too. I bought 1 on May 15th and another on June 3rd. So... I guess the question is: What kind of life expectancy are we getting on these pen types?

Anyone?

I called all over town, natural food stores/co-ops, cooking and chef speciality stores and the like... nobody sold any flavorings with only PG and natural flavors. They were all similar to the rum extract you bought and many contained oils.

Disappointed with the first menthol cartridges I bought, as they don't actually taste of menthol, I tried dripping a drop of peppermint oil into the wadding, which made it taste much more like a menthol cigarette! (With added peppermint aftertaste, nice)

Is this likely to be ok for the atomizer? Or is it not really advisable to modify the solution like this?

I just received delivery of a bottle of cherry e-cigarette liquid and I'm very disappointed in the flavour (almost imperceptible), so I'm really hoping that it's going to be ok for me to add drops of essential oils to get some real flavour!

My understanding is that oils are not appropriate.

That is why folks are discussing Bickford flavors made of PG and natural flavors, which are (supposedly) appropriate.

Correct. No oils. Forget the atomizer! You would be coating your lungs! No oils. Only PG and flavor and/or alcohol.

Sugar is natural also.
But that's sticky just like syrup, and I think that's what killed my atomizer.

Got me. :? That's all it says. It hasn't killed my atomizer yet. That's why I asked if it has killed anybody's atomizer.
But this I can say, it's thin and not sticky.

I had thought the Peppermint oil might be alright as my girlfriend used to drip some on the outside of a normal cigarette when she fancied a menthol. (She only buys menthol now so doesn't do this any more.)

I'll not use peppermint oil any more and see if I can find a UK equivalent to Bickfords instead.
