Today I got some juice in the mail and proceeded to put some into my tank. I vaped it and it gave off a really strange and rancid flavor. I wouldn't describe what I tasted as burnt but a nauseating chemical/oil aroma, and after that, mellow hints of what my juice is suppose to taste like (apple cinnamon pie-ish) The initial rancid aroma is too unbearable to vape for me just to get the after taste of apple pie. So I decided to switch to my other tank that had a different juice in it that I was vaping fine with, with no weird taste. I slapped it on and to my surprise, I tasted the same rancid aroma. Now every hit I take has that rancid chemical aroma. I don't think it has to do with my juice because it has been steeped 2 weeks prior to arriving at my home. I'm pretty bummed out at the moment. Any thoughts/insights as to what could be causing this?

Was the tank that it tasted rancid in plastic? Cinnamon is probably the worst "Tank Cracker" there is. These are juices that break down polycarbonate and acrylic.

If you're not familiar with the issue, this may be useful: EEEKKK! What happened to my tank?

ETA: I just reread your post and I'm not sure if my response was helpful or not. Sorry.

Update: The rancid aroma gradually faded away from my other tank that didn't have the juice in question in it.

The tank I used was a stainless steel atomizer with a new and primed atomizer head
The juice has such a nice aroma, it's unfortunate if cinnamon is the culprit.
I checked to see if the vendor has a forum on here, they don't.
Oh, I make sure to shake all my juices before I fill up my tank! :)

Thanks for the input everyone. Much appreciated!

Sometimes new coils give off an unpleasant taste until they get broke in.
If your buying instead of rebuilding, that could be your problem.
A lot of vapers rinse new tanks and coils to get rid of bad "new" tastes, before using them.

Don't hear too much talk of it anymore, but in the past alot of coils had a primer put on them at the factory. I think it was said it was pg or vg, but that was not always the case, it was some kind of regular oil, like machine oil or something. Nasty stuff to vape if you did'nt clean the coil/wick beforehand, sometimes you'd have to vape a coupe of mls. till the raunchy taste went away. Of course if both of the coils you used were'nt new, then this would'nt apply to your situation.
