A couple of things are responsible for the throat hit.

I would cut down on the nicotine and stay away from PG juice if you're not in for the throat hit.

Johnson Creek has some amazing VG juices that are made right here in the States. If you're looking for a smooth and mellow vape, I suggest the Red Oak Sample pack -->Red Oak™ Smoke Juice - Red Oak™ Sample Pack

Try them all, and find one you enjoy. I personally use Johnson Creek Domestic juice. It's smooth with a nice warm taste and a very mild throat hit.

Hope this helps.

Maybe try juice from somewhere else and fill your own. You can buy blank carts from Vapor4Life. I think they're juice is sort of harsh too.

Backwood Brew is pretty smooth. There are probably many others that are too, but he has pretty smooth tobacco flavors.
Fruit flavors, I really like Vapor Bomb. Another favorite here is FreedomSmokesUSA. I happen to really like nhalers juice. It's practically all I use.

Less nicotine will give less TH. Or buy juices elsewhere with more VG - like try 50/50 juices. And stay away from flavors with cinnamon, spices, liquors which can all add more throat sensation.

I like their WOW Vanilla - it seemed pretty smooth. Their normal vanilla is weaker and more milky but maybe smoother.

If you need really smooth at times, stick a DSE901 atty and drip tip on the battery and drip (assuming you have manual batteries which are safer from drips)

Descentente above - that is totally vendor specific. Some call it eliquid, some call it ejuice - there is no special meaning to the one name vs the other.

As for the blank cartomizers, what is the difference between the WOW blanks and the CoolCarts Premium blanks?

The cool don't get as warm as the wow. I haven't tried the cool yet because I read the reviews on the site and too many people said they are duds. I haven't had any dud issues with the wow.

Vanilla juice tends to mellow tastes, you could add some to a cartos, it makes my strong th liquids a lot less severe.

The 50/50 is really nice (I just tried my first) Smoother hit. I kinda prefer the minty ones like double mint and peppermint from FSUSA. Honestly, I have not ordered from V4L, but it is good advice to consider lower nic levels, higher VG percentage, and non tobacco type flavors. As a side, the 50/50 provides clouds of vapor. The 70/30 Pg/VG mix in my opinion is closer to a real cig output.
Cheers,
BG
