Throat hit

Hi,

I got Cuboid mod with Tsunami rda, vaping DIY juices, with 0.25 ohms, i get very strong Throat hits at 9 or 10 MGs Nicotine levels, i use 70%VG , 30% PG base, please advise how to get weaker throat hit, ... i want to increase nicotine level with less throat hit,
Note: i use Flavor art flavors, hope this gives a clue, also my friends say it has a very strong throat hit, so i would not consider it as being irritated from a certain flavor, unless flavor art as a brand has strong Throat hit.

Not specifically lower ohms, but also what wattage are you running it at? The heat your describing sounds like you just have your device cranked way too high and that's what's causing the throat hit, not the nicotine.. Vaping should be a pleasurable experience, not feeling lime death. The Tsunami is a dripper, correct? I'd lower the wattage and just puff on it a couple more times than you have been and it should be smoother while still getting your nicotine

I can assure you that its not about Wattage, because it only makes the vapor warmer not with any relation to throat hits, i have tried many wattages, and still the same, i tried running at 30 up till 60 Watts, and it is not about the heat, it is about the throat hit, and lung hit,
yes Tsunami is a dripper.

I'm a little bit confused here.
If you are lung inhaling then you can have a vape that is too harsh on the throat but nothing I would describe as a throat hit that you get when MTLing,they are different things in my book.
In which case higher wattage, higher PG content and higher nic content would all go towards increasing what you describe as a "throat hit".
And also a less airy draw would do that.
In any case, 10mg of nic is unusually high to be using in a dripper and looking to go higher still so I'm not surprised you are having problems with the harshness of the vape.
I think it's the nic killing you.

You might want to try 0% PG, but it's mainly the nicotine that produces throat hit. You might also try a different brand of nicotine. And you could try sidestreaming--taking some outside air in with each puff.

Christos is correct in 'throat hit' fixes.
The only thing I would add is to use thicker gauge wire. This will slow down the ramp up, allowing time to end your draw. When i first rolled coils i was using 30awg, instant scorch..

I agree with this. Drop the nic level when sub-ohming in an RDA. Try just 3mg or 6 mg for a smoother throat hit.

Get vg based nicotine. For me pg adds to throat hit and even 6mg nicotine is too throaty for me. As far as throaty flavorings I have no idea but am also curious as to what ingredients do that. If you are trying to up your nicotine intake per puff, find the nicotine level you find smooth and up your build gage and wattage for a bigger hit
