I put a new coil in for the first time and when i did i put a few drops directly into the air holes and right onto the cotton itself in the llttle grate. Then i filled up my tank and let it sit for about 5 -10 min shaking it around and doing 3 -5 dry drags.

LET ME TELL YOU! i had no idea my liquid tasted that good and could produce so much vapor!

so my question is. why did my last coil not do this well?

theory 1 - i didn't prime the first coil right and it burnt out at the very beginning.

theory 2 - i used the same coil with strong juices (tobacco and cream, space jam eclipse, espresso) with fruiter ones ( nillionaire, strawberry watermellon etc.)

theory 3 - while cleaning out the tank i accidentally got water into the cotton on the coil?

or was it just a bad coil?

anyways if theory 2 is correct and i switch flavors alot should i buy a coil for just strong flavors?

THANKS AS ALWAYS!

Hi sublimeaces and welcome aboard!

Different juices will vape differently. Stronger, darker juices will usually want a bit more power (assuming you are using a regulated mod). while delicate, clearer juices will be happy with less power.

Yes, many have different tanks for different types of juices. A good idead, IMHO :toast:

Hope it helps and Happy Vaping!

I would think it was the mixing of juices. Some juices can go well with each other, some won't. Plus some juices destroy coils faster than others.

I don't think water was a problem as long as you let it dry out 100% before using again.

You could use a different coil per strong flavor, but good luck keeping track of which coil goes to which flavor. How many flavors do you vape? I suggest Rsunderl's comment about different tanks.

Theory 4. You bought a cotton wicked coil. The stock ones are ceramic and don't last/taste good. I recommend rewicking Atlantis with cotton or buying them. They last longer and taste better. There's some videos online that show you how to rewick

Thanks, i have found out the main problem! the person who sold me this never told me i shouldn't use 70% PG in the atlantis tank, I went back into the shop and explained the situation and i have been using 70 PG 30 VG 16 MG in the atlantis tank...so thats my problem right there. I went out and bought a nautilus MINI for my high PG (he told me don't go over 15 watts) and bought some 70 VG (nillionaire and edge HOG) for the Atlantis....

Now i understand why when i switched from the nillionaire to the fruity blend of 70 pg why it made such a difference! CHEERS!

^^This seems like a likely explanation.

i thought so too, until i put in some 16 mg nic 70% pg, at 27.5W and then it was back to the same thing it did before. This was before i found out you shouldn't be doing that with such a high PG. That explains why the throat hit was to much! ! ! i used to be a heavy smoker so i didn't find it to extreme but still alittle hardcore!

PG will contribute to throat hit to some degree, yes, but I think the real issue here might be that you're using 16mg liquid in an Atlantis tank. Sub-ohm tanks like the Atlantis vaporize a lot of juice and deliver a lot of vapor in each hit. Many users of these sub-ohm tanks find that they have to cut their nic level significantly, compared to other types of ecigs. It's not uncommon for people to use 6 or even 3mg liquid in these tanks.
