are they the new enclosed dual coils or single coils. i use the enclosed duals and they last forever compared to the old style. did you change your juice i tried some mbv salted caramel it was probably the best juice i ever had but i was replacing coils twice a day. if you have the single coil evod tank i would suggest going to an evod 2, protank 3 or an aerotank they all use the enclosed dual coils i have all three and have had no issues

Hiya! I had the same problem! I was using Kanger coils in an EVOD tank fir over a year and getting 7-10 days from each coil. A water wash and an alcohol rinse to clean them gave me another few days. Then in the last month they were burning out in 1-2 days. Burning out meaning they wouldn't heat. I took one apart to check it out the coil itself was shot, it couldn't dry burn. So after blowing through a boatload of coils, I got ANNOYED and called my online supplier. They said Kanger changed how they manufacture the coils and they've had numerous complaints. So, although this doesn't help you with your coils, at least you know you're not crazy.

Same five e cig rigs, same tops, same bottoms, same vapers corner juice usa mix, same supplier for coils, I buy 50-60 at a time, and each pack of 5 is doing it. I called them to see if any one else had the issue, and they said no, but Im sure they dont want a mutiny on their hands..... I saw somewhere on line that "EVOD is making their coils more resistant" whatever the heck that could mean. I have the standard get up so Im guessing thats the single coil evod tank??? The suggestion of "going to an evod 2, protank 3 or an aerotank that all use the enclosed dual coils" Arent those coils like alot more expensive? It was all of a sudden that it happened, on all 5 rigs, at once. Maybe bad batch of juice? Im going to try to clean coils, I saved them to take them back as faulty.....is it better to warm wash and dry burn or throw it in vodka, then drink the left over vodka till I dont care any more? Instead of vodka, can I use 50% alcohol for cuts and scrapes? Thanks everybody for you input! I dont want to go back to cigs!!!! I will check the coil like sunshine suggested, but how do you know its shot? What does shot look like. gail

I have used all the Kanger coils from evod, evod 2 and protanks. The new enclosed dual coils are a hundred times better than previous versions. But like any mass produced piece, you get a dud every couple of batches.

Imo unless you're going to build your own coils, Kanger is the best you can do if your sticking with Kanger clearos.

Take the Evod apart in the same way you would to refill it. Put the part with the coil back on the battery then try burning it. If no vapor comes out or it doesn't get red hot then most likely the coil is broken or burnt. It may also not be making a battery connection and that can be tested with a meter.

The only way I have been able to clean coils is to burn them and then brush the ash off.

Those little Kanger coils are ridiculously easy to rebuild with some 30 or 32g wire and cotton balls. They taste better when you rebuild them too. Look up Ruby Roo on youtube. She has a video showing you how to do it. I was spending about 10 to 15 bucks for a five pack, and now it costs about 25 cents each to rebuild them.

This ^^^^^

Just rebuild the original single coils...you will never (almost) buy them again. If you don't have a few on hand, stock up...never know when they will disappear.

I use 1.8ohm single coils in a T3S tank with KangerTech VV battery @3.6V and they last about a week. I also let the coil cool a little before I take another puff. I recently bought a mini pro tank 3 and used the new enclosed wick dual coil 0.8ohm at 3.2V. While it does provide a nice hot vapor, it gives me a sore throat. I find my starter kit being used more often than my pro tank. This is a matter of opinion. I have had a dud coil in a box of 5. I told my local b&m about it and they gave me a new coil at no cost. I am fortunate to have a few b&m shops around me and 1 in particular is fantastic.

Hi, Thanks for the advice. If I get a evod 2, or protank 3, how do I know what ohm filter to get? The retailer I go to charges like double what I find on ebay, but not sure what to look for....would it depend on the mAH of my variable battery? thants
I have heard some horror stories about shopping on eBay. I have also heard some great success stories. I would research the seller because I have read that a lot of people buy coils in bulk on eBay and they turn out to be the wrong coils. I pay the extra money at a B&M because I know exactly what I'm getting and if I have any issues I can turn around and head back up there for an explanation. Just my 2 cents.
