I understand you can get different flavors from different companies but are certain juices for used in certain products, and the Blu company only seems to offer the ones that come with the kit. Through reading here I have figured out that I can use the Volcano cartridges with the Blu, which is great, But have I done myself a disservice and limited myself to these two companies? When I get my blu and I get more comfortable and am ready to try dripping and such, will I need to get a different ecig?
and my last dumb question, is there a list of all the different models with example Brand names that I have missed somewhere?

If your Blu batteries are automatics, I wouldn't use them for dripping. Automatics have a hole at the top of the battery that allows it to be activated by suction. If juice gets in the hole, you could ruin the battery. As far as juice is concerned, you can refill the carts with any juice you want so you aren't limited only to what Blu sells. You can check the ECF Wiki to look up other models. There are tons of them! My honest opinion is that you should check out buying a KR808 kit and get one with a manual battery. You might be happier with that and still have some change to jingle in your pocket.

Hi! I just started, so take everything with a grain of salt! My first ecig was the Blu, I saw it on a daily deals site for $29, so it wasn't that painful. I totally disliked the flavors that came with it, so I ordered some liquid from BWB and it was so much better!

I found out that I shouldn't have been dripping on the Blu, the automatic batteries have a little hole that can cause problems if the liquid gets in there. So I took advantage of the Liberty Flights sale on the Riva, since there are so many places that have accessories that will fit it.

I hadn't heard about Volcano until after I ordered the Riva, or I would have gotten some blank carts from them before ordering another kit. I may order some later anyway, since I like the fact that the Blu looks more like a "regular cigarette". So it's going to be my "fit in inconspicuously" ecig.

As far as a list of different models, I'm not sure. What I did was follow a lot of the links while reading threads about the different brands. That helped me to see what they look like and also the pricing for the different styles.

I forgot about the hole, but once you mentioned it I remember reading that! Thanks. I am trying to not put the cart before the horse so to speak, as I just ordered my Blu on the 23rd, they told me that it should ship mid week... so I want to give the BLu a chance before I go crazy buying stuff. I think I could easily become a collector of juices...

Here's a list of models:
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/general-e-smoking-discussion/81600-definitive-intercompatibility-list-please-help.html

Mostly PVs are classed into different thread sizes, 510, 801, 901, 401, Leo, and
such, you can use any supplier and so long as the numbers match the parts
SHOULD be interchangable. Juices can be bought anywhere you find a flavor
that you find fits you, (that's the toughest part of vaping) :)

So if I were to buy a 510 automatic then I should feasibly be able to buy one peice and have it manual?

Sorry if I sound thick, I think after browsing this sitet so much for the last few days everything is starting to jumble.. so I can feasibly order blanks from Volcano, fill them with whichever brand juice I want and use it with my Blu... I think I may get a little excited if that is the case!

If you buy a 510 (includes ego, riva, 510 standard, xl, other re-branded models)
any 510 battery will fit any 510 atty or 510 carto, most chargers (std and fat have different
chargers) Same goes for any 801 or any 901, match the number and it should fit.
Kits will give you the battery, charger and atty /carto to fit, then additions can be
any supplier with the same model number parts (510) Volcano is a 510

Here's where it gets a little more confusing, you can buy adapters to fit different battery
threads to different attys and cartos.

Re models you might not have seen, in the sticky threads at the top of the New Members section there are beginner videos and if you follow the link in the thread with Library in its name, you will find a great illustrated multipart guide that covers many popular models.

I would say the most popular models on the forum are

super-mini: none are real popular
mini: 510, KR808D-1, DSE901, RN4081, M401 (plus some other models in same lines)
fat battery models: Riva, Ego
plus assorted un-cigarette-like models like Janty stick, tool-looking ones like screwdriver and chuck, wetboxes

The Blu's were one of the first ecigs that I ever got. Those things are tiny as hell, like a short M'boro Red and the batteries lasted about an hour. After about 5-6 weeks they completely died. Would take 45 minutes to charge then once you take a puff it blinks again.

I canned them instead of buying new ones. I don't recommend them at all. I believe volcano is the same thing, but I haven't investigated further after picking up some other brands.

So here is a dumb question.. what size is the Blu? Is it smaller than a 510?

The Blu is a super-mini. Here's a pic of the blu vs. 510 with standard atty + cart (cartomizer would make it a tiny bit shorter) so you can see the diff for yourself.
