Not sure the mah, Volcano doesn't say, all they put on their website is "last an hour longer that regular battery" and they say the standard battery lasts an hour???? Often wonder if it would be more useful if batteries were rated in how many mL of juice they could vaporize on each charge......LOL

Heavy vaping for me is going thru 2mL - 26mg juice driving to work when the traffic is worse than usual.... used to be near a 1/2 pack of camel filters.

Well the magma is a rebranded 510 so I'm guessing the mega is a rebranded XL. I believe madvapes lists those at 250mah. I know mine last 2-3 hrs depending on how heavy I go at it and when I replace them I'm getting them from madvapes because they are cheaper.

Volcano isn't what I'd call a scam vendor but I'm not really happy they rebranded their stuff and marked it up.

Not on the mega I think it's 4-6 on the mega if I recall. I get about 3 out of mine usually sometimes less sometimes more. and I pretty much chain vape. The mega is just an XL so 250mah? If I remember right.

ETA: I checked the site and on the mega it says an hr longer than the small so 2-3 hours for a moderate to heavy vaper. I guess I'm moderate, have a really good battery, or Volcano was being cautious about their claim.

I believe the Mega Magma is a 320mah. That was my first e-cig/PV, but I quickly moved on to an eGo. I know a lot of people are determined to have something "slim" that "looks like a cigarette", but honestly, a mega-sized 510 is going to be more unwieldy than a standard 650mah eGo. Much longer, you see, and the eGo isn't THAT much thicker anyway. I find that my eGo fits in my pocket, and handles better, than my Magma did. Not that the Magma is a bad e-cig - it got me into vaping, and I'll be forever grateful! The thing that really persuaded me to move on was the relatively short cut-off time on the Magma (and this was on a manual) and the fact that it can't make use of low resistance atomizers.

Oh I'm with you on the ego...dying to get one actually. I was just going off the slim part. It takes time to realize that slim isn't as important as you thought it was starting out.

@ Bogey, you reminded me of my own experience starting out, not nearly as thought out as yours. :)

I had a M401, traveling with 4 batteries, and can remember having 3 charging, the last starting to run out, nic fitting and watching for one, any one battery to turn green on the charger!! LOL You are quite right in finding a comfort zone, mine is not leaving the house with less than 3000 to 5000 total mah, fully charged, I was scarred for life I guess.

The mah of your battery only tells half the story for vaping, it is the total amount of power the battery can hold. In vaping it is also important to keep in mind how fast that power can be delivered to the carto or atty. I've found that the better my PVs and equipment can deliver huge clouds of thick vapor, the more I've been able to drop my nicotine level. I was a 1 1/2 pad (stronger the better) addict, and I'm into vaping for the nicotine.

Thanks Stosh! :)

As a side note, in a fit of sleeplessness and probably in a vapor stupor, I ordered an Igo last night. There hasn't been a lot on it, but I liked the KR8 compatibility factor. One thing I do like about my current batts is that they come off at 4.2 volts (and actually stay up there for awhile). I did notice on one post that the Igo is also at 4.2 volts (possibly regulated? according to the poster). It will be interesting having 1100 mah at 4.2v on hand. Plus I still have a ton of KR8 carts that I understand should work, along with the big ole cone carto's it comes with. Still wary about that much juice in one carto, as I am still dialing in my flavor preferences. I think it will be nice that I can still get "test" carto's for flavor though.

Abit overwhelmed with all these numbers and models. I have read quite a bit of knowledge on the e-cig but after reading this forum i think i am more confused. I don't understand all the type model numbers and how they relate to the brand that i am looking at. Are these generic numbers ?:confused:Still confused!

Cartomizer vs. Atomizer? Disposable? WTF!Cartomizer is a cart with a build in atomizer so you won't need an atomizer if you get this. But if you buy an atomizer you will need a cart. The smoke stik company only has regular and menthol, can i buy a different brand of tip cartomizer or atomizer/cartridge, and get my own juice? Just get the empty carts. You can then purchase juice from any vendor. You don't need to get anything prefilledDon't know what to order and if is compatible with others?
My suggestion is get a kit of some sort. For me this is what I have but it is in Canada. It is the 510.
Canadian E-cigarette Happy/Joye 510 'Kit & Kaboodle' Starter Kit -Black, Silver, Copper, WhiteThen what I did was look for any of the 510 parts for it or emailed the vendor asking them what goes with my 510, such as if I wanted to get different cartos or drip tip or different atties.
