Hi and welcome,I’m still smoking regular cigarettes. I have yet to try vaping.
30 years, 25 to 30 a day, I started during a period of being unemployed to deal with the stress. I thought it would be a passing thing. Unfortunately, after a few months, I couldn’t quit.Hi and welcome,
How long have you smoked?
How many cigarettes do you smoke per day?
Where are you located?
Cheers

Pick up a disposable from a local gas station or convenience store.
Use the disposable instead of smoking whenever possible.
Start slow, work on smoking one or two fewer cigarettes every week.
Then try to substitute the ones you smoke mindlessly with the disposable. (on the phone/driving/sobremesa)
Best of luck on your journey!

ThanksWelcome to ECF, 2Krissy,
I've seen some of the questions you asked in other threads here too.
There was the question, would you fall in love with vaping as easily as you fell in love with smoking.
We all are different, so I can only give you my own opinion.
One reason why we all loved smoking immediately was the extreme high. You may not remember it that way, but we all remember the giggly, happy, elevated feeling. After that you begin to put up a smokescreen and normalize your reaction, as with any drug reaction, so the giggly high goes away and you're left with an addiction. I enjoyed smoking so much that it made me hesitate to even think about taking up vaping.
Your system will handle the nicotine boost from vaping differently than it handles nic from smoking, so it takes some getting used to. Your body has to learn to trust the vaping nic boost as much as it trusts smoking. I had a hard time learning to even inhale the vapor.
I think the prevailing wisdom is to start with a liquid at 18 mg per ml, if you smoke "light" cigarettes. That may be different for nicotine salts, which weren't an option when I started in 2012. It took me about six weeks of dual use, smoking while vaping, as I started to really love vaping. At that point I designated a quit day for cigarettes, and I'd be lying if I said it was an easy day. It was a whole day of struggle, but after that I never again wanted another cigarette, and haven't had one since. About six weeks after quitting cigarettes altogether, I found I was wired and waking in the middle of the night on the 18 mg. liquid, so I reduced it to 12 mg, which level I have kept from then to now.
I recommend starting with an inexpensive setup, two battery bases to rotate, one in your mouth while the other is on the recharger. Ego-T is popular and inexpensive. You'll need the charging cable, a tank or glassomizer to hold your eliquid, a pack of replacement coils, and your choice of liquid. There are zillions of flavors, and finding your favorite flavor is, to me, the most fun part of the process.
I hope you'll try it, and I wish you success in quitting cigarettes.
