It may not be the best chocolate, but chocolate bars of all makes at least taste like chocolate.

Here I am vaping some liquid that calls itself chocolate yet doesn't smell or taste anything like any chocolate I have ever had.
Should I get trading standards involved in this? Is it false advertising?

No wait... why am I asking you? Of course it's false advertising. Do I care?

Well, not really, just sort of, saying... don't call it chocolate if it tastes like... actually I don't know what it tastes like.
If they called it Something That Totally Doesn't Taste Anything Like Chocolate I think I'd be okay with that.

Chocolate is one of those elusive vapes (like coffee vapes) very hard to get right...I searched when new to vaping and ended up with 2 that were vapeable both from Halo #1 Shamrock...great chocolate/mint (like those girl scout cookies or andies mint patties) and the Belgian Cocoa and it is cocoa not chocolate per say...be forewarned however as the leave a strong (and not so pleasant smell when you vape them). I like the the taste but my Husband asks me to vape it outside because he says it smells like dirty gym socks

You expect smoke to taste like the real thing??? WOW..I don't ...I imagine it is only supposed to 'suggest' the flavor..not have you think you just ate a bar of chocolate and got not one calorie???

It's not smoke though, is it? It's flavouring in vapour. I have had chocolate mint that smells and tastes like that, butterscotch, even a tobacco flavour that smells like Marlborough Lights and kind of tastes like it.

They all use flavourings, I'm just asking that they use chocolate flavourings in the ones they call chocolate, instead of whatever one they used instead.

I have DIYed several different chocolates and have only gotten one to actually taste near it. Luckily, I like that flavor (and can duplicate it again) cause I have 1/2 litter..

Most of the commercial chocolates I've gotten.. just don't make it. Halo does though.. wish I could make their flavors myself!!

Yeah sure just make all us chocolate lovers feel bad because you got it right and we have to actually eat chocolate bars!

lol, I'm glad it's working out for you friend :)

Well turn me on to butterscotch...cause that is one flavor I love...forget chocolate pudding..I always wanted butterscotch...

Link to the best butterscotch flavor evah :)

Well the weird thing is I tried Dekang butterscotch and really loved it. Some people don't like it and recommend others but I think butterscotch is just a killer flavour to vape even when you only get it 'a bit' right. Man... I nicotine OD'ed on that butterscotch it was just absolutely gorgeous. I wasn't vaping for nic I just loved the flavour.

Believe me, what I DIYed Isn't the best chocolate.. but it's chocolate.. ya know? I can vape it, I can taste chocolate... maybe up somewhere close to that dollar store chocolate rose type...
So that 500 ml bottle of my DIY chocolate costs me about $10 total (counting the cost of the bottle...). I'd still rather spend the $20 for a 30ml bottle of Halo Belgian Cocoa (if I had the $20 LOL)

I actually feel bad that I don't DIY. I hate the thought of all that pure nicotine I'm messing around with but I'm just being a wuss. Dude, if you've got something that works don't knock it, it beats the hell out of buying loads of premade and thinking ...? ;)

Butter scotch is another hard to do flavor.

Yet there are a few premade from big brand liquid vendors that people really love. I haven't tried it but keep reading that the Hangsen butterscotch is great.

It might be hard to DIY but if you just want butterscotch there's some great stuff out there.

Chocolat bar taste can be done.....and its easy using TFA flavorings. I have two different chocolat bar recipies in the DIY forums and they are spot on.....and yes, they taste just like the name s of the candy bars names..... ( one of them was not originated from me, just tweaked to use all TFA flavorings)

Almond joy is one and Butterfinger is the other...

Im wondering if steeping chocolats for too long makes them taste bad ? I make mine and vape immediatly.... I dont have any that is very old.

giggles you've obviously never had endangered species chocolates....they were giving these away at the indy zoo for halloween...
"NATURAL DARK CHOCOLATE HALLOWEEN TREATS"
72% cocoa content | Certified gluten-free, vegan, kosher

while the company themselves have a great mission....and apparently make some good chocolates....whatever this so called chocolate abomination was.....it was not chocolate...my kids wouldn't even eat it...and I like all chocolate, sweet, bitter, white, dark....it was like eating chalk.

Savoir-Faire is everywhere!
Have I ever had a chocolate bar that didn't taste like chocolate? Why yes I have....

For a very long time as a child, my mother would give us carob bars and tell us it was chocolate.... god I hated that stuff.....
Your mom did that, too? You must have grown up in the 70s...lol

I never heard anyone marketing 72% cocoa for anything other than baking. Someone sells that percent as a ready to consume? That would be horrible.

Oh, and I heard chocolate bar is a hard flavor to attain in DIY. The only chocolate I have used it was intended as a background flavor not the primary.

Thunderball, why didn't you mention your chocolate experience when we met? We really need to do a DIY class at Steam Cigs but not one led by anyone in particular, just to share tips and try each other's concoctions.
