Ok so am newly posting here at ecf after lurking and reading lots on the forum.

I am taking the plunge and after making lots of battery mods it's now time to have a rebuildable atomiser, I've got kanthal wire tons of 510 atty and batt connectors, all sorts of bits and bobs, brass tube, washers, soldering kit, different sizes of heat shrink tube, lots of sizes of rubber washers and most importantly enough nicotine solution and flavour to last for a few years so now time to build it, using an old ce2 tank mod to convert into a genesis type tank, oh and oodles of SS wire mesh!

Anyone already done this? Do you have a fill hole to fill the tank, or do you fill through wick hole?

I am about half way through the build, progress is slow but promising!

UPDATE.....

Couldn't get two of the parts aluminium and brass tube to solder together, most have abandoned this build, back to the drawing board, anyone got a simple build they can share? Or where to buy perhaps?

I've been tinkering with one today. Used a DC carto and cut slits in the wall of the tube. Used Nextel ceramic sleeve as wick. Used a 18ga needle as the positive and some silver wire for the neg. My design is a little different and incorporates the Nextel ceramic as. Filler. My fill will be through the filler. The wick actually goes around the positive tube, so I'm unsure if it's even going to work correctly. Will return tomorrow with update and pics if we have success...

Hey dougie sounds interesting, some pictures would be really great!

Elfstone, yep I considered filling through the wick hole, might put an extra hole then I could fill without disturbing the wick, although my tank holds about 10ml juice so I think by then I will probs need a new wick n coil anyway... I think will have a filling hole then If I have any wicking trouble I can leave my filler hole screw out if needs be....

Completely redesigned it using the original parts I started with, simpler design, less soldering, and have a bigger blow touch to solder the big metal bits, no problem now I have more heat :)

Anyone interested in a how to build it with pictures?

Absolutely! Or, some good pics with a few key pointers added would probably be enough. Congratulations on your build. How does it perform?

I've been kicking around ideas for a relatively easy rebuild-able atty build, and realize I'll need to buy a bunch of hard-to-find stuff to do any of them, which is irritating. I guess I can deal with that, though.

Thanks rusalka, you have me on your list and in cant wait.... In the mean time I will be vaping it's poor relative, my home made genesis :)

Thanks classwife for moving the thread for me...

Ok so I will post all the details and photos a little later when I have more time, but the parts I have used are...

An old arry tank that used to have a ce2 plunged into it....
Hollow brass tube OD 4mm
Hollow brass tube OD 2mm
Aluminium torch (end screw cap and small piece of barrel it screws into)
Rubber O ring
Epoxy glue
510 atty connector (or one you strip off an old carto)
Shrink wrap tube
Lead free solder

And for the wick oodles of kanthal wire and SS mesh, or at least a little to get you started ;)

Ok so all would be a perfect build but I can't get the last two pieces soldered together.... Darn!! Back to the drawing board with this one!

Anyone know where to get a genesis type atty without too much cost??

soldering alum to brass is all but imposable but J.B. Weld will get you over that hump.

I take it JB doesn't affect the ejuice, does it?

Sent from my iPod touch using Tapa-tapa-tapa-tapatalk

I personally called the factory and talked to an application engineer about using it in juice.
Is Nooo problem mon. And from experience it has no detectable taste.
