Today is my 12th day w/o an analog. Today is a hard day for some reason. I'm fighting a really strong urge to go smoke one. Maybe it's bc I've been vaping on a bunch of carts nearing the end of their juice, trying to finish them off to refill, and I'm not getting enough nicotine. or something. I gotta hold out until I get home from work to pop in a fresh cart.

I also feel very irritable today. never had this urge or feeling like this in the past 1.5 weeks. Is this normal when you go off analogs?

I'm just venting and basically talking to myself, folks. =)

No problem or worries....vent away.

It's a B..... giving them up no matter how you're doing it. vaping has been the first and only time I've made it more than 2+ weeks without an analog.

And no one is saying to can't burn one man .... if needed, do it! Many have run out of stock totally and had to burn a few to tide them over (yep, ME).

Stick with it, stock up and start hiding extras at the office and in the car so you can burn a few dimes, through the 1/2 used out, stoke up a fresh cart and relax.....

EDIT: Tuesdays are the worse Mondays of the week IMHO

The first couple days were the hardest for me and then it was and up and down thing over the next week or so. But day 11 for some reason was a tough one for me (and actually was the last tough one I've had, so I'm hoping I'm over the hump now). Hang in there.

For what it's worth....I still have days that aren't easy. Not as bad as they were for the first while. I just tell myself that if I am still feeling like this tomorrow I will look at buying a pack of cigs. But I just have to make it through today. (My stash of 36mg. unflavored helps, too) Haven't got to the point of buying any in about 6 months! (That's after 34 years of 2 packs a day) So far, so good. Hang in there!

I have been slipping here and there and had a huge fall this morning.

I broke down and got a pack.. lets just say these are being thrown into a drawer as a reminder as to what I am not going to miss.

First the throat hit of burning razor blades, like swallowing a lit coal from the bbq.
Sinus clogged hard, feels like I got punched in the forehead.
The taste was somewhere around, how pee smells and dirty gym socks.
My lungs feel aching and on fire.

Smoked part of 1 and I can tell you It feels like I have been out having a hard night of drinking.
I wish you luck and glad I had this experience that was my last taste of burnt ....

I'm glad you were able to toss them back away dredbull, some have had issues with going back to a pv after having a cigarette, despite hating it by comparison.

For me, the only thing that has really worked is varying amounts of nicotine based on what need I'm filling. In the morning, after meals, etc... I need some nicotine, more significant. So I use my higher mg liquid then. Throughout the day, I want a bit of nic.... I use 6-12mg there, it works for me - just a little to keep me through. When I'm just doing it out of habit, I grab my own mix of 0 nic, lets me satisfy the habit instead of the desire for nicotine.

When I hit those rough spots, its nice to jump to something alot higher in nic, its really let me control those feelings well. You might want to get some unflavored high nic to mix in, or some varying strength carts, to help get you through those spots.

Good luck! :)

Thank you for the words of encouragement everyone! So far, I've held off on smoking one. It eases my mind knowing that I could just go smoke one if I really have to. But still, I'd rather not. I guess I'm afraid of 1 analog leading to 2 to 10...

I know what you mean. I'm still carrying the partial pack in my purse that I had when I quit. I haven't been able to leave the house without it because I still have the fear of being out somewhere and needing one. So many quitting smoking sites tell you to remove all smoking paraphernalia — throw out the smokes, hide the lighters, wash the ashtrays and stow them away... But all that would do is stress me. I get some comfort in knowing I could smoke at any moment if I wanted to. But I don't want to because 1 would lead to 2 to 10...

Every time I think I'm over the hump, I hit a trouble spot, but in general it really is getting easier. I'm certainly not thinking about analogs as much. The hardest times seem to be the mornings and after dinner. I'm actually doing fine with the routine/habit of those times, but I still very much miss the satisfaction of that post-dinner smoke and I very much miss the *wake-up* effect of that first one in the morning (it's amazing how much less coffee seems to be doing for me without the analogs!).

Vaping is still keeping me from smoking, though.
