Nothing seems to be going right. I have a Joye 510 kit which just came in last Thursday and I am trying to make the switch. I bought an extra battery and I'm really glad I did because these batteries don't last long at all. It doesn't seem that I can get good vapor at all, even drawing slow. Sometimes it's because I've flooded the atty but then I'll blow it out and even after that it still doesn't seem to work too well. I've even gone to the other atty and that doesn't seem any better either. Could it be the juice? I got it from awesome vapor. I don't know what brand they carry. But I am getting so frustrated with the whole thing. How many drops should fill a cartridge? I pull the wick part way up when I fill it and then use a paper clip on the side for air bubbles and then push it part way back down. I read that was what you are supposed to do.

How long are these batteries supposed to last? If I lit it much, it wouldn't go more than an hour. They are such a disappointment. Is this the norm?

Can anyone tell me what is going on or what I can do. I'm about to go out and buy some cigarettes and I really don't want to.

dleerl, are you using auto batteries, or manual?
How much juice are you putting in the carts?
Were you getting good vapor/throat hit when you first started?
Are you taking slow, not pulling too hard, drags? Quick hard pulls like you smoked an analog aren't as efficient on a 510.
More detail, you'll get better answers.
People here will be more than willing to help you make it work for you! :)

Sometimes it depends on the juice your using for the amount of vapor you get. I seem to get more vapor with one juice and more TH with another juice.

I fill my cart till it pools and that usually works good for me. Is your atty getting hot? or at least warm? Take the cart off and heat up the atty for a few seconds. Does it sizzle? Do you see any vapor comming off it?

Sounds like the atty may be clogging. Does your atty do a bit of the "gurgle gurgle" noise when you draw on it, or sizzle/pop? If it's more like gurgle gurgle, maybe blowing out your atty could help. put a paper towel over the end that the cart attachs to, and blow through the battery hole on the other end. Blow enough times until no more juice is hitting the paper towel.

You should be getting more than an hour from manual batteries also. Are you leaving the button pressed after you quit drawing/pulling? Unless you are just power vaping for an hour straight. :)
