I am absolutely in love with a darker juice that I can't seem to get a great experience with like I can juices of lighter shades.. I use cartos and carto tanks and I have a Vivi Nova on the way to see if that will solve the issues I'm having. I am new to tanks, but I have been punching my own cartos and trying different hole placement, (low and middle carto) and larger holes/more holes without any flooding going on and I just can't get the vapor/taste that I need.. anybody have any advise?

The Vivi Nova will help. A real atomizer instead of one wrapped in polyfill always helps. I'm guessing that I don't have to tell you that dark juice is an atomizer killer, right? If you vape clear juices your equipment will last forever and ever... That's one of the main reasons I learned how to DIY my own juice right away. Clear juice is win.

In any case, I sense that you will press on with this juice, so let me just tell you that you might want to wash the wick out every few days and dry burn it to clear off the gunk you'll inevitably leave behind. Make sure the coils aren't touching one another either. Learning how to rewick the Vivi Nova (youtube is your friend) will save you a lot of money if you want to keep using dark juice. If you go with a cotton wick then don't ever dry burn it (since it's flammable). Instead you'll just have to replace the coil more often, but cotton wick is cheap (some people even use cotton embroidery floss). Make sure you boil it for 15 minutes and do the research on how to rebuild. You can find much of this information in my blog, The Vaper's Handbook:

Thank you. Read your entire blog last night. Thanks for keeping a record. I've been 2 months on the 16th and I feel great. I love my new hobby more than I ever loved smoking, and I like the tinkering as well. I just wanna have a good looking tank that performs well and doesn't leak. I've had good luck with the J-Tanks, and I want to get the Vivi out of the package and see what it can do. So you're saying with the wicks that come with it you can dry burn it without damaging the coil/head? and by 'wash it off' do you mean in water? I will mos def benefit from wrapping my own coils, and I plan to do that too..
