Hello, are you saying that now that you are twisting wires up yourself you get the bad taste, but did'nt with the premade wires?
The reason I asked is because you might have the no resistance and resistance wires mixed up and that would certainly not taste good.
Are you using kanthal or nichrome wire as your resistance wire? Also what type of wick are you using? I have found the perfect setup using sterile rolled cotton which I roll wicks with to fit perfectly in the housing. The roll will probably last me forever. For wire, I'm using 34 gauge nichrome wire. The vape is perfect. If you buy the rolled cotton (highly recommended) just pull off a small amount and roll it between your hands into the shape of the 3mm wicks.
