Once you have quit smoking completely, the lungs begin to heal themselves, primarily by reproducing the tiny hair-like structures called "celia" which remove foreign materials from our lungs. Smoke ......s the production of celia. The cilia help the lungs to remove mucous or phlegm which is normally produced to help remove foreign or unwanted contaminents. Your lungs are beginning to return to normal and trying to remove the harmful stuff you got from smoking.

Pg and Vg (propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin) are considered to be humectants, meaning that they attract water. Inhaling vapor with the byproducts of Pg & Vg likely absorbs an amount of water from the lungs, so it is very important to stay well hydrated by drinking plenty of water.

"When quitting smoking, with or without using e-cigs, people find that they start coughing up all the junk they've been putting in - tars and other materials coating the surface of the lungs. This material is coughed up in the form of phlegm / sputum.

Some may find they start coughing up this junk within a week or two - some faster. The duration will vary, but most people find the morning cough went away in the first week and the rest of the junk came up within the first month. One of the most common symptoms of smoking cessation."

Thanks everyone for all your input ! It is so fantastic that we can vape. It is very concerning though that our government seeks to put a damper on it. It seems that both of our major political parties in the USA each have their own pet agendas TTY o intrude on our personal liberties. To bad we can't send all these nosy politicians someplace else than where they are now (. To put it politely )

I don't know how long it has been for you but wait until a few weeks or a month goes by and you don't get out of breath when you are doing things or running. Then food starts to taste better and you start to get your sense of smell back. It is almost the 2 year mark for me and I still notice how my senses are returning to what they used to be before I was a smoker.

Good Luck and keep up the good work............ Vape On Safely!
