Chewing Tobacco, Snus, Snuff, Dip: ANYONE USED E-JUICE TO QUIT?

I purchased my first e-cig setup yesterday in order to stop chewing tobacco, specifically Camel Snus. I quit chewing for almost two months then went back to it hard for the past month or less. Since that time my throat and mouth is killing me like when I first started.

My question is... has anyone used e-cigs to quit chewing? I smoked for about 7 years prior to chewing, then quit and picked up chewing when I lived in Utah. I desparately want to quit; I have lung, prostate, breast, and skin cancer on both sides of my family.

Can someone recommend specific dosages that they used to do the same? I ordered a bunch of 5ml juices yesterday, ranging from 0mg to 11 mg (mostly 4-6 mg). I am worried that vaping won't translate to dipping. As you know if you have chewed tobacco, it is a body buzz compared to kindof a head rush with smoking.

The new Camel Snus Winterchill flavor pouch is more than twice as big as the original snus; that's what I use. I dip one at a time around 7 to 10 a day. I used to dip Grizzly Green also, for more than a year. It's the best yet the worst also.

Oh and 99, my goal is replacement as well. When I quit drinking and everything else, nicotine is what I held onto. No intentions to let go anytime soon.

Hi Rasp and welcome to ECF. E-cigs are an excellent alternative to smoking tobacco. There are also a lot of our members who use smokeless tobacco in addition to vaping. Snus, snuff and other forms of smokeless tobacco are excellent for reducing the harm we experienced from smoking tobacco; risk reduction is estimated at 98-99% less than smoking. ECF has a forum devoted specifically to smokeless tobacco -- Smokeless tobacco. You might want to check it out.

I'm sure you are probably referring to Swiss Snus products as opposed the American "snus," which is pretty much just like American chew inside pouches. What I have been told is that chewing tobacco from America (Copenhagen/grizzly etc..) is much more high risk than smoking as far as immediate dangers of cancer esophageal diseases. I guy in my high school, a baseball player, used to chew Copenhagen and now has only a portion of his jaw left. I checked out the forum you pointed me towards, I'd be curious to see what these guys/gals use. I admit I've never tried European snus or snuff. My Swiss friend in high school offered me some snuff for the nose: almost threw up and cried at the same time.

There has been a lot of misinformation put out about the risks of smokeless tobacco. I'm certainly not trying to disuade you from not using it if that is your choice, just trying to correct some of the lies that have been put forth about it. Here are a couple of other resources if you are interested:

That said, e-cigarettes are thought to have about the same risk as smokeless tobaccos.

Aw, Nasal Snuff is the business!
I just used some right now ;)
You don't snort it-you lightly sniff it to where it stays in your nostril :D
