Hi, i'm doing my own juice and my issue is its just not very good.... ok first off

I have a 300ml bottle of PG @ 48mg Nic.
A 12oz Bottle of VG.
Syringes, gloves all the goodies.
Variety of e-juice calculators.

Anyways i love Buttered PopCorn. (aiming for a 2.4 Nic per ml).. my all day vape. So i mix in 10ml bottles (easier for math IMO)

So i have added 5ml of PG/Nic Mix, 3ml of VG, 2ml of Popcorn flavoring (capellas) So now i have a 10ml bottle of 70/30 PG/VG 2.4mg per ml of nic @ 20% flavoring.

Its just not what i hoped for. Theres a strong PG taste and very little flavor. I have tried this in so many different ways, more flavor.. less PG, more VG i cant find a good flavor & TH. The only time i get good flavor ends up in a ton of Flavoring hardly any nic and hardly any TH. I use to buy popcorn that was great overall.

(cant find a real high strength popcorn & butter flavoring anyweher i've looked, cause i thought maybe thats my problem the flav is to weak, so i have Perfumes, and Capellas PC)

Im using LIQ e-liquid is this my problem? Any others had simular problems? Or am i doing somthing wrong, Iv used the Calcs and they work still no good results so any tips/tricks/advice/Recipes would be great!

It's probably not your nic base.

I've not used that flavoring specifically, but here's some things I would try...

Right off, since this is a creamy (includes butter) flavoring, it requires more resting time to reach the correct flavor. Try mixing up a batch, putting the bottle in some very hot water for 15 mins or so, shake well, then let it sit. Sample it again in a couple of days. If it's still not right, sample again a couple days after that. It could take up to a week or two, conceivably, although in my experience with other such flavorings it shouldn't be more than a few days.

You might also try making a batch with less than 20% flavoring. With some flavorings, using too much (counterintuitively) reduces the intensity of the correct flavor, but increases harshness and off flavors. Give 10% a shot.

Some flavorings require a flavor enhancer or sweetener to bring them out. Try adding a bit of ethyl maltol or sucralose (each of those has a different effect, so if one doesn't work the other is still worth trying.)

Make very small batches for these experiments -- you might go through a number of them before getting the right mix!

Why do you put the bottles in hot water for 15 mins?

Letting a mix rest allows time for the ingredients to fully disperse in the juice. A hot water bath makes this happen faster. For example, I have DIY juices that need to sit for a week before they're good, but if I use a hot water bath, they only need to sit for a couple of days.

sorry for late reply the e-liquid i get is from www........... they have good prices the liquid is nice and clear and the prices are rather good.

So i have added sweetner both kinds from PA and hot water bathed them let them sit for a week and even two weeks. No noticeable change in flavor still very little flavor tons of chemical taste.

Im more convinced it has to be the PG im using. Its from China... i believe and iv heard they dont stick to the same standards as the US does?
But im almost done with this DIY thing, i just now have some serious cash invested in this and hoping it was not all wasted. I'v tried to make different flavors and it seems like heavy flavors it comes out a little better, like chocolates and creams theres not this overwhelming PG/chemical taste.
SO im going to throw some more time in this see where it goes but if anyone has some advice on using Chinese PG/VG and if it has a significant taste difference to some PG/VG you've bought withing the US. please let me know. As always everyone thanks for the advice i feel like i get alot of help and support from everyone on this site, its refreshing. So thanks again
