Hello I am fairly new to vaping. I first got an ego-c and liked it and was simple. But I was a heavy cig smoker almost 2 packs a day. So i needed something that i can keep vaping and not dropping and charging batteris. So i got a vmod xl and i was told joy lr attys are one of the best. But for some reason im getting lots of vapour but it still has this bad taste. I know theres primer on it, but i have puffed and puffed and its still there the taste. if I could get any help it would be very very appreciated.

Just a guess, but it sounds like you might be burning your juice using a 1.5 ohm atomizer.
That is really low ohms, in my opinion.

Your Ego was a 3.4 volt unit and the atomizer was probably much higher ohms.
Now you are using what appears to be a 3.7 volt mod and a MUCH lower ohm atomizer.

So you are cranking much more power through the new setup, and it may be overpowering your juice.
More Volts = More Power / Lower Ohms = More Power

Just out of curiosity, are you using a fruit flavor?

Have you tried rinsing them out yet? Ot is a pain to get that primer flavor out once it is burned in. Rinse under hot water and maybe soak in PGA or vodka to help get it out. Some people use vinegar and baking soda to flush them out as well (put a bit of baking soda in atty, drip some vinegar in and block the end forcing the mix out the threaded end). Also some people say after cleaning flushing it with lemon juice helps to get rid of some sticky flavors.

Also, it could be your juice. The vmod with the lr atty may be getting too hot for delicate juices. It will put out higher voltage than the standard eGo, and that paired with what may be a lower resistance atty may be a bit much.

Anyway, I wish you good luck in your quest!

+1. You are using too low a resistance for this device. You'd have to have your voltage cranked all the way down and it probably isn't which is why you have the burning. Get a higher resistance atty and all will be fine.
