... And will tweezers do the job? I am sorry. I feel so stupid here.

Don't be. If you've never done something once before ... how do you know how to do it?

Yup ... Tweezers will work. So will a very small flat head screwdriver. Just coax the center post up a little bit with the tweezers or a little bit on one side of the center post with the screwdriver ... then the other side. Just be careful and nudge it up slightly. Maybe just a 32nd of an inch. Then screw on the adapter and then the battery. Still no vapor? Try a teeny bit more.

And never ever ever do this routine on the center post of the battery.

To be honest, I've never really had any luck getting those center posts raised either. Course, I'm old, can't see real good and my hand shakes a little.

The thing I usually do is get another battery and try it on that and it usually works. Sometimes its the battery post that is too low and using a different one takes care of the problem.

I too am having troubles with the gogo battery to 808 cart adapter. The other adaptor works great but I was really looking forward to using the 808 carts, as I have a bunch of them. I got it too work for a couple vapes by raising the post on the battery, but I dont really want to risk harming the battery so I wont be doing that again. Is there any word on a adaptor redesign?

I don't know what to do. Like I said, I emailed Frank. I would thing if this was a problem, he maybe shouldn't sell them until they are better designed. I spent $12 including tax, and have a nonworkable adaptor. I was really looking forward to using the kr8 cartos on these batteries because they last so long, and my kr8 batteries pretty much suck. Last an hour or 2, then dead. I hope to hear from Frank soon.
Also, I tried both batteries and no luck.

what I have found that sometimes works is to screw the adaptor onto the cart all the way and then to the battery, if this doesnt work try to screw it all the way onto the battery first and the screw the carto on and see if it works. I have also found that sometimes if you screw the cart on too tight it wont work, so also work with how far the cart is screwed on

Nope, didn't work for me. Tried both ways. Thanks for the tip, though. Any and all help is appreciated.

My adapters both work fine, so it's not a problem with all of them....
Just for full disclosure: using first generation GoGo batteries (no shut-off feature) with Boge Premium cartos and Igo cartos. The opposite adapter is on a regular kr8 battery. I do need to raise the post on the Igo carto a small amount for it to work.

The thing that's nice about this Thread is that you are alerting our friends at CigEasy to a problem and it seems to be wide spread enough to deserve action. But all of you are doing it in a polite manner. This information will let CigEasy work with the manufacturer and get the problem permanently corrected. I applaud all of you for trying to help each other while alerting a good supplier to the problem. Very refreshing!

These are the first adapters CigEasy has carried and since this post started I have been going some homework.
First a little history. The design was created to match up with the Gold Label cartomizers and Easy batteries we carry at Cigeasy.
It took three shipments to get it right and I tested a dozen of each style without a problem before giving them the thumbs up for sale.
I test every battery before we ship them but just don't have the time to test every adapter too.
There are dozens of company's making all types of cartomizers with 808d-1 connections, as well as batteries for those cartomizers. I had few complaints about compatibility with the Easy batts or carts so I assumed it would be the same with the adapters.
Adapters are simply a way to get power to cartomizers and from batterries with different connections. The problem is that every cartomizer and battery, even from the same factory have slight variations. There is no such thing as a universal adapter that adjusts to those variations, that I could find anyway!
This creates the need to fiddle with some to get them to work.

    A couple of helpful hints:
Dab a little Vaseline on the threads before first using them. Just a little! Other lubricants around the house are not recommended( no matter what flavor). ;)
With the cartomizers try lifting up on the center pin enough to make a connection. ( DO NOT DO THIS WITH THE BATTERY)
We have delivered several hundred of these so far and it it too soon for reports of them refusing to work with certain models of carts or batteries. Keep the input coming!

To the 2 or 3 folks who have posted on this thread, after you are done fiddling and if you still can't them to work just send an email to ssv2@cigeasy and we will swap them for ya! You may have bad threads. Poop Happens!

If it turns out its a bigger hassle then reported so far, they will go bye-bye! It has to be EASY! After using the Go-go for a while you will figure out you don't really need them anyway!

    Happy Vaping!
    Frank:p
