My ecig has quit producing vapor and seems to be clogged. It is like trying to suck on a milkshake that is too thick. I have charged the batt and refilled the cart. Anyone have any ideas? The cart started to get hot before it quit, so I am guessing I need a new cart. But if there is something I can do to clean it, I'll try that first. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I've gone through about 10 carts with my RD thus far and haven't run across one that all of the sudden "stopped working". I imagine something went awry with the cartomizer but I can't imagine what would prevent you from drawing any air through it at all. I don't think it's uncommon though to get one that fails prematurely, in a variety of ways. I did have one that was dry right out of the box.

do you drip into yours or just order the prefilled carts?

Prefilled initially, but started dripping (or topping off, not sure of the difference) last night. The two carts I've refilled thus far, seem to be working ok. I did check out this video where he mentions adjusting the packing before you top off, if it seems off center.

Perhaps that's what happened? But in that case I wouldn't have expected it to die in the middle of vaping.

thanks for the feedback, I'm new to this and I'm getting frustrated. I think I burnt up the atomizer, the cart gets hot now when i pull on it. Still little to no vapor. I emailed Red Dragon for help but haven't heard anything back yet. I don't want to spend $20 on carts if thats not the problem. I was happy with it until the problem started. But if I have to spend more money, I think I going to try another brand, maybe a 510.

Your mom said not to say...
I don't know if you were primarily happy with the Red Dragon before this, you might want to consider a different cartomizer like a GreenCig which is supposed to be the top of the line cartomizer or a KR808D-1 which is also one of the better ones. The carts of the GreenCigs are interchangeable with the KR808D-1 as well, I am not sure if they are with the Red Dragon. I notice that the carts are a lot cheaper for these than the Red Dragon as well which is the main reason I didn't get a Red Dragon when I was initially looking at getting into this. The 510 is a fine product, I am not trying to dis it or anything I just don't think that you will find that you like it better than the cartomizers. You have to play with the carts or drip a heck of a lot more than what you do with the cartomizers. I don't know how much that plays into it for you but something you should be aware of. Most people have a few different models anyway so I wouldn't sweat it too much it's still cheaper than smoking tobacco.

If it gets hot right away (after letting it cool for a little bit), then I would say it's dry but you should get an obvious burnt taste from the material being burnt up. I had one cartridge that did this right out of the box, but it was the exception. All of the rest have been consistent so far, giving me (I'd say) 15-20 cigs worth of vapor. They're not flawless though, anything electric or electronic is prone to have flukes/failures here and there.

As SnarkyOne mentioned though, the 510 is a really good choice. I've never seen anything but good reviews on it and it could be that the Red Dragon is just not the one for you. Everybody has their preferences, smoking/vaping style, experience level, and probably some other factors that play into what works best for them. I'm not dissing the Red Dragon, it works great for me, but that doesn't mean it's going to work for everyone.

I went into this three weeks ago comfortable with the fact that I may have to try 3-5 models before I found one that works for me........I just lucked out and hit it on the first try.

By the way, Red Dragon's response is not that speedy, usually takes 24-48 hours before I hear back from them, but order processing/shipping have been speedy thus far.

I ordered the kr808 from nhaler. It should be here some time next week, so I will have something while I'm waiting for the Red Dragon replacement. I'll keep the one that I like better, and sell the other. Losing the ecig made me realize how nasty real cigs taste and smell, yuck.

Yup-yup.......it becomes pretty apparent, pretty quickly, how nasty the real thing tastes. Thanks for the feedback on the RD batteries/chargers, I'll keep that in mind if I start to have any trouble with mine.

I love the kr808d-1. To me it is the perfect mix of throat hit and flavor. I'm dripping johnson creek smoke juice to refill carts. You get a lot more for your money getting this through nhale.com. The kit was cheaper than red dragon, and came with 2 batts, 5 carts, usb charger, wall adapter, carrying case, tools, a small wood box, and manual all packed in a plastic pencil box, which I store everything including my juice in. It is rare a company exceeds your expectations. Fast shipping, I ordered on Friday night, and it arrived on Tuesday. I'll definitely do business with again.
