Already happening, it's called VeriChip, and can you believe this....the FDA has approved the product!!!!

Welcome to "Logan's Run"

Sad thing is Tim Hortons will start accepting scanning your arm as a payment option and 30 million canadians will get one implanted that week. As for the rest of the Health Canada BS we all already know I how feel about that :)

Why not? It's actually the number one reason why people have scissor injuries to their eyes!

I thought that reason belonged to BB's

I remember when my brother got a BB Gun for Christmas one year. While he was playing with it, he took aim at my cousin and shot her in the leg with his BB Gun. Dad went over to my brother and took the BB gun from him and broke it in two and told my brother to put it into the garbage. Brother had the BB gun for exactly 2 days.

We had the law of Dad and Mom back then and there was no other court. This is how things were handled, by the regulations of Mom and Dad, not WHO or HC. :)

KingCobra I agree with you.
I have made my case against sodium fluoride a couple times on this very board.
Ingesting fluoride and using it topically are two totally different things and I will stop right there. I will believe HC is looking out for my health and the health of my fellow Canadians when:
- they ban the use of sodium fluoride in our tap water. (like in Western Europe, BC, Quebec)
- they ban all sales of foods and drinks containing aspartame, splenda and glucose-fructose.
- they ban all sales of genetically modified organisms in our food. (like in France)
- they ban all sales of meat, fish and chicken that have been fed GMO's, injected with antibiotics and steroids.
That is just to start.Until then I am sorry, I cannot believe HC is looking out for my health and the health of my fellow Canadians.

Sorry - but

The only "ban" I want to see is HC's ability to ban anything - unless they have proof - real proof that the product in question is harmful to most and helpful to no one.

Every product in the world can be regulated and restricted - in how it's labelled, how it's marketed and from whom it's restricted. Bans are not really necessary (imho).

I really believe that once you give a political body the ability to determine consumer behaviour - corruption will swiftly follow- because WHO regulates the regulators?

Welcome to "Logan's Run"

THANK YOU SO MUCH. I was racking my brain for the last two days on what the name of that movie was, I was on IMDB, Google, it was making me insane lol. Thank you.

...imagination's going wild...

Maybe Microsoft will be contracted to write the software for Verichips - and high school students the world over will start writing viruses for the software.

One day we'll all wake up and discover that everyone is now named Bob Smith - has $1 million in the bank, no debts and will expire at midnight.

(imaginations not required)

RFID chips are real and it's only a matter of time before they'll force us to get them.

Hey you want to work?
You have to have the chip.

You want to buy food at the supermarket?
You have to have the chip.

You want to collect your pension?

Are you getting the picture?

Oh and here's the proof they exist and how they will get us to start accepting them.
Hospital patients now being microchipped with "electronic tattoos"

Well... who knows what the future will hold. At the moment though - people's trust in the infallibility of technology has declined by leaps and bounds.

I can see some groups supporting verichips and other micro-id - but I can't see the majority willingly permitting tech implants for general commerce. I certainly wouldn't allow someone to stick a microchip in my body and use me as a debit card.

Even IF I agreed with the whole implant idea (and I don't) - there's just no way I would trust the technology. ...especially since the chips would likely be "made in china"....

Number 6: Where am I?
Number 2: In the Village.
Number 6: What do you want?
Number 2: We want information.
Number 6: Whose side are you on?
Number 2: That would be telling. We want information... information... information.
Number 6: You won't get it.
Number 2: By hook or by crook, we will.
Number 6: Who are you?
Number 2: The new Number 2.
Number 6: Who is Number 1?
Number 2: You are Number 6.
Number 6: I am not a number, I am a free man.
