So I'm new to the E-Cigarette world, this was in fact my very first one. I have been vaping on it for about a week now using Liberty-Flights liquids.

You can pick this kit up off dealextreme for $11 i guess, I got mine from DinoDirect for $14.

Anyway, this thing is great so far, I get quite a bit of vapor from this super mini. It is a 402 or 403 clone so it is pretty small and has a SLB style atty with a very narrow pointed atty peak.

Nice bright LED with about a 7 sec cutoff.

The vapor gets warm (which i like) but the atty does tend to heat up quite a bit, not flesh melting but hot to the touch. I don't know if all PV do this but figured it's worth mentioning.

The biggest complaint (really the only one) is that the carts suck. The taste is menthol stock crap and i have cracked some of the carts somehow?

Also the inner carts have NO STUFFING! just a foil layer which has made it hard to refill without a mess and i get juice in my mouth more than not.

BUT... this is a M401/2/3 clone so I just ordered some new quality 401 carts from mypvstore.com and after they get here i don't foresee any problems. Parts are also cheap (possibly cheaply made too but hey)

attys are $7 for 2 packs online although i may test out a smoore atty if i don't upgrade soon.

The best thing is this PCC cig box. It is the same size as a standard camel light box and plugs right into the wall so I never have my battery die since its so easy to charge.

I did test out the bat life and it is about 4 hours vaping about as often as i smoked before with about 10 puffs each sitting. (I do try to regulate how much i vape at a time)

anyway it's a killer 1st PV and if your just trying it out I totally recommend this kit. So cheap but works awesome (IMO).

This looks a lot like the first e-cig I bought off Amazon from eCigHawaii. I still have mine and use it for backup. The inner carts should have a small piece of poly in them. To refill remove the inner cart and clean off all the foil and sticky stuff, then put in about 4-6 drops.

I tried an M401 cart on mine and even though the length was about right, the fit was very loose. You'll probably have to stick with the carts designed for it.

Sorry, gotta call BS on this. That is not a PCC. It is a charger. A pcc has a battery that charges so that you can take it with you and charge your batteries while you are away from an AC outlet. If yours works great, good for you. They tend to be 1 dead, 1 barely out of the box. Please don't compare them to a real 401 beyond format. I have never opened a cart because the batts and atty's sucked so bad, I never bothered. I only bought them for parts. I did find that if you pull the bridge, you can drip on them in a pinch.

Still pretty new here, looks like i need to bone up on the terms, I thought a PCC was a charger I didn;t know it has a battery of it's own. So yeah I guess it is just a charger not a PCC.

And of course I know this isn't a genuine 401 merely based off of one which is why i said CLONE i.e. Knock off, copy, ripoff, ETC.

Come to think of it it is much more similar dimension wise to a 402.

So this review was directed more towards new people like myself that are looking for a cheap 1st kit to try the whole E-Cigarette thing out.

My apologies if this has deeply offended anyone in any way.

Don't worry about it, you've got me thinking about recommending this to a fellow smoker who's put off by the high price of starting with e-cigs. At that price I may be able to talk her into it, so thanks!

*Off Topic a bit..but it still cracks me up when folks say that ecigs are too expensive..when i gave them up and started vaping .. a carton of smokes here in Mich was about $60 (and i believe they've gone up since) and lasted me about a week..at the end of the week..all left to show was a bunch of stinkin cigarette butts..how is an ecig "high priced" in comparison?..i never did and still dont understand the logic...

I can completely understand your logic as I was paying $70/carton when I made the switch.

However I can also understand the logic of someone, who has never had a chance to try one at all and is on a tight budget, thinking that a starter kit is expensive when they are skeptical as to whether or not it will work. If you're fearing that it is a farce and won't work then it seems like a lot to spend and end up throwing in the trash.

Luckily though it doesn't usually go that way :thumb:

Yeah..i see that point also..but a majority of the same folks in a pinch..will plop down $11 for a pack at the casino..lol..owell..waaay off topic now!..all good :)

Hell yeah! Smoking is much more pricey but when you can get a kit for the same price or cheaper than a disposable why not! I mean this thing has opened my eyes to now upgrading (after a week) and looking into screwdriver styles for at home.
It's not a super kit but it has got me off analog smokes completely so I can't say anything bad about it. And yes, if you have never tried a e gig and don't know any cats who use them in your group of friends ya might as well go cheap and later get a chuck or 510 or whatever your style is now that ya know you dig vaping.
Hey correct me if I'm wrong but, paying $11 then upgrading is better than buying a mall $150 kit and upgrading for less ha.

I have seen this kits before and to be a little more detailed, that was how I learn about PV. I was looking for some electronic parts for my x360 and I found that kit on Dealextreme. I didn't buy it, but it was my first step in to the e-cig world. Thanks to that I keep searching until I found ecf and the GrimmGreen video reviews in youtube and that help me a lot. After a month and a half of research I made my first order (joye510), that was on september 2009, since then I'm smoke free and feeling better than ever. Sorry for the long story, I wasn't planning on that. So, that kit is a good and cheap way to try e-cig, but the problem with that kit is that it's hit or miss. You could order one, and when it arrives it could work or it could not. So that the only negative thing about it. But, after a little more search I found what I think is the perfect and cheap way to start and try the e-cig. This are 510 Disposable E-cig Kit and cost around $10, and come with one batt, one atty, one usb charger (only use this charger with the disposable batt) and 3 or 4 carts. You can find the kits here: MadVapes LLC. Hope this help.

Keep On Vaping!!!!

Ruben

PS: I found this video review on youtube from EskimoVaper (a good PV reviewer). YouTube - MadVapes.com Disposable 510 kit. (long overdue).wmv

With the person I was talking about, a pack lasts her 3 days, plus she & her fiance both smoke. So we're talking about setting up 2 people who are on a tight budget and who smoke regularly but not even a half pack a day. I can see why they're hesitant. They're both young though so I'd personally like to see them off the smokes before they get health issues!

For me it was a no brainer as a starter kit costs less than a carton and I smoked about as much as you.

Thanks Reuben, You saved me typing all that. The Madvapes disposable is 10x the DX green box. I have had one in play (for a month) and have 4 on hand to give to friends.

I believe my atty is on it's way out. (Much less vapor than before & less than my girlfriends kit that she uses less) I have more attys on the way and also a 510 kit!

Oh P.S.
401 inner carts work in the Health e-cig carts with a little tweaking & I have also found Health Carts that have the poly cotton stuff in em...

Yeah true in some cases i suppose. Maybe I just got lucky? Both my Health E-Cig kits are still going strong for 11 days so far. I also just used the Crest Pro Health way of atty cleaning and it's back to it's normal self. I have had people ask me where to get it cause they want to try it out and whatnot. I always mention the disposable models as an option as I have just ordered a 510 kit after 11 days so maybe a 510 disposable could have done just fine... But I also will have a backup now if the 510 ever craps out or something.
Bottom line is:
Battery Life is good
Quite compact to bring around
lots of vapor produced
OK throat hit (not much to compare it to on my part)
and crazy cheap!

Go disposable if your more comfortable but mine works great and I like it. So despite some thoughts on it I believe it's an okay starter. BUT, my 2 510 Kit was only a little more than 2 of these Health Kits.

To each their own ladies and gentlemen...

Keep encouraging your friend and her fiance to switch. I think we can agree their cigarette consumption will only increase, and become increasingl more expansive, with time. There are SO many advantages to switching.
