Healthy reception for Intellicig at National Conference.
The annual UK National Smoking Cessation Conference took place recently at the SAS Radisson Hotel in central Glasgow. The event attracts major NRT Companies showcasing their new products together with a wide range of international Health Professionals, Cessation Practitioners and Academics who attend structured delegate lectures given by acknowledged global experts.
Intellicig became the first Electronic Cigarette Producer to attend the conference and were given an exceptionally positive reception. Intellicig representatives Anthony Sefton and John Chamley spoke to many of the 750 Delegates and formed some very good relationships.
John, Business Development Manager for Intellicig told us; "We were fortunate to speak directly with some extremely knowledgeable and influential delegates, one of whom, a noted expert in the study of e-cigarettes, accepted an invitation to visit our Laboratory in the UMIC Bioscience Facility. Following his address in which he spoke about electronic cigarettes, we were overwhelmed with delegates wishing to learn more about Intellicig. We were also asked to assist in three different trials; for a key researcher in Experimental Psychology who is looking to compare the effects of Intellicig with tobacco cigarettes in stress situations, a Health Leader in the Mental Health Sector (6 month documented trial with mental health patients) to assess the safety and efficacy, and a team of Respiratory Nurses who themselves are smokers; all wish to use Intellicig for their studies as they have the assurance of a nicotine liquid manufactured in the UK under laboratory conditions that has already been tested."
Anthony Sefton, Intellicig's UK Sales Manager added; "We came to the conference expecting to introduce Intellicig to the Health & Cessation sector but found that many of the delegates were already aware of our product. I had numerous front line Cessation Professionals urging us to continue with our path towards clinical trials and application for an MA Certificate which, when granted, would allow them to formally recommend Intellicig. Over 200 sample packs were requested by delegates for evaluation and we are keen to see the feedback. We will certainly be maintaining contact with all those who took the time to learn more about our innovative, alternative product. Everyone at the conference was there for the same reason, to combat the myriad health issues caused by tobacco and to reduce the harm caused by smoking.
