So.... Tomorrow would make the one week anniversary of my happy vaping with my beautiful Provari! What a game changer it is!

But, tonight I damaged her :(

I was fiddling with some blue sticky stuff (to hang stuff on walls) on my desk and I guess I put my Provari down on it. Didn't think much of it, picked it up, plucked the blue stuff off and off came a couple chunks of paint :( :( :(

I am totally heartbroken!!!!

You have no idea what I went through to get my hands on what seems like the last existing pink provari. I live in Canada, called EVERY Canadian vendor on the provape website and couldn't find any. Started calling US vendors, probably called about 25 til FINALLY I found one. So last Saturday we took a little road trip into the US and I finally was happy with my pink provari. And now she's damaged and I am so, so, so sad!

She still works perfectly and all but I keep seeing the missing chunks. I know it's probably inevitable that she'd get damaged but I tried so, so hard! I guess it's always like that when you have something so new and beautiful, you just want to keep it pristine forever.

I tried checking the provape website for any way of getting this fixed up but it seems as though there isn't really anything available for aesthetic damage.

Ahh well, as they say, BLEEP happens!

Thanks for listening/reading :)

Not a bad idea! And it looks pretty nice too!

Do you think that if/when I were to take the wrap off, the paint would peel off again?

Thanks for the optimism lol, I need it!

I have a wrap on my polished chrome Provari and no issues, perhaps someone else with a painted on finish can comment.

Awww! I know that feeling all too well. I get like OCD about keeping my new stuff looking new (phones, gadgets, vapes.. anything really) but they can't stay perfect forever. The silver lining is once it gets it's first blemish, the babying stops and it becomes all about function. Which is cool because, I stop worrying and can just enjoy it for what it is. And like others suggested, a good wrap can go a long way!

I've removed several wraps from my black provari with no residue or peeling of paint etc. :)

When the time comes that you decide to refinish your ProVari, buy this and take it and your ProVari tube (and any atty toppers you want to match) down to a good gunsmith. You'll need to disassemble the ProVari first. Baking + Electronics = Not Good.

This is the original color used on the Pink ProVari's.

I use wraps on my purple Provari and the paint don't come off.

I bought a leather sleeve for it on the classies and my hubby tried to put it on with my extension cap on and it got stuck. I was at the grocery store. Needless to say the idiot took the pliers too it to pull it out and scratched mine up in 4 little areas toward the top.
I am also heartbroken :( I just got in January for my Bday and now my baby is damaged.
And that was with a wrap on. I could imagine it if it wasn't wrapped.
I just went send ordered another wrap.

We will cry together :(

I'm sure when people remove wraps on their fully-painted ProVari, that none of the paint comes off..

However, I think sklar might be onto something...

Since some of the paint is already removed, this creates a point of weakness for the edges between the painted & non-painted areas -- which might be more prone to pulling off even more paint as the wrap is removed...

I'm still in camp of just painting it yourself..

Again, not sure what kind of paint (didn't somebody do a rainbow paint thing a month or so ago?).. or if it voids any part of the warranty (doubtful)...

Could always just get one of those leather sleeves for it, too..

I know the feeling... I am not one to drop my mods and take extreme care of them.. But I once had a 3 week old Black Satin Provari, rolled right off my lap on to the concrete flooring..... 2 nice chips out of the finish. Needless to say right into the classifieds it went..lol
I ordered another Black Satin and no matter how carful I was-never dropped, and carried in a Felt PV Carry Pouch when leaving the house. It still developed small marks where the Stainless showed below.. I now only own the Satin Stainless Provari.. Ceramic coating, its not all that tough as some claim it to be....
Get the pink carbon fiber Provari wrap from Jwraps.com and Vape on!
That is a good option but for OCD people like myself it is just a band-aid...I know the damage that lurks underneath the wrap....

OUCH dolphins, that really sucks :( believe me, I can totally sympathize with you. We can definitely cry together * hugs *

Gato, I totally agree with you!!! I mean blue sticky tack is really NOT that sticky at all and it ripped the paint right off!!! I'm still a little shocked at how easy it peeled right off :(

I do like planofman's idea of repainting it but I'm kind of scared to disassemble it since this would totally void the warranty and she's only a week old.

What do you guys think of maybe finding a very close coloured nail polish and just delicately filling in the holes? It's a pretty basic pink so I think finding a close colour should be fairly easy. Even if it's a bit off, it'll for sure be less of a contrast than the silver.

Wow! I can't imagine that the blue sticky stuff would peel the paint off your Provari like that. Could you tell us what the brand is? I think it is advertised to not damage the paint on your walls, so I am amazed that it did that. I was just interested, so I could avoid that particular brand. Anyway, I also like the pink color and was dismayed that it isn't produced any more. As soon as it is back in stock, I'll buy one.

You know, blemishes just show the amount of love that you've given something. A scratched up, peeled paint Provari that is working as well as the day you popped the first battery in it shows the love and constant companionship that that unit has given you. It also shows the reliability of it. :).

Just my thoughts.
