I'm getting brave and trying some new flavors. I've been vaping a menthol (8mg) and a strawberry chill (also 8mg), both 50/50. The juices I'm trying are 12mg. Almost instantly, I feel a heartburn-ish feeling starting. I haven't felt that since I started and was using 16mg. Seems like the higher nic is the cause. But this particular flavor is also a fruit cream, so maybe that's it? I searched the forums for "heartburn," but the posts seemed to be from more advanced users doing things I don't even understand yet, so I don't know...

80/20 PG/VG gives me a little heartburn. I feel better with a bit more VG.

It could also be the 6 cups of coffee I drink every day also.

LOL I take 40mg of omeprazole every day, so heartburn is a very rare thing for me. Let's me keep enjoying my coffee and such. But I drink only about four cups a day.

Now that you mention it, I was able to drop my omeprezole dose in half after switching to 6mg nic. My stomach is feeling great.

On a more personal note- I do quite miss the efficiency of a real cigarette in getting the bowels moving in the morning. Sorry to be gross.

Um, OK. :) I understand completely. I never connected the two, but I'm sure I will now. lol

I'll have to pay attention to the heartburn - or lack of - more closely. Reducing the dosage wouldn't be a bad thing.

I have a friend who has a similar problem with some fruity juices. Our theory is that the fruit flavoring may be a bit more acidic, maybe that applies to some menthols as well. Find a Pepto flavor to compensate:)

Now there's a novel idea! Maybe if someone develops medication-flavored juices we can all reduce or eliminate our daily meds.

I found one of my "cinna roll" flavors started giving me heartburn if I vaped it at night.. especially when it was with a "smok dual coil mega carto".. I thought it had something to do with the switch to that particular kind of cartomizer (as it seemed to "spit" more juice mist mixed in with the vapor to the back of my throat than what I was used to) ..I started drinking more water at night (and getting up to pee too many times too lol) but eventually I just gave up on the cartomizers and haven't had the same problem again since.. so I'm curious if maybe you also made a switch in hardware when you switched flavors? because that seemed to be the cause of my issue..

I have a Mini Protank 2 for my everyday menthol. I use the EVOD for my Strawberry Chill (my anti-vape-tongue flavor), and that's what I used for trying the new flavors.

I am not sure what your vaping experience level is and that is really not a factor except for the point that you may run into burning taste from dry hits on an all VG juice blend, I as well get severe heartburn and suffer from acid reflux. What I did that corrected my issue was 100% VG juice with the exception of flavorings. The flavor concentrate that I use are a PG based blend. I also cut down on the nicotine level because the VG gave me some well desired clouds… If you can find a tank that accepts good hits with high level VG juice you should find some relief. If you are a rebuilder you will not have any issues with VG bases in a dripper. Good things to remember stay well hydrated because PG metabolizes into lactic acid which can make you dehydrated and cause heartburn.

Thanks! If the heartburn continues to be a problem I'll keep all that in mind. I KNOW I need to drink more (+more) water (as I guiltily glance at my Dr. Pepper). It might be that simple. I've just barely moved from crawling to walking with vaping ;)
