Oh, I hate to do this :)

Condensate is a natural phenomenon. When the vapor with a high moisture content (like the inside of an atomizer) contacts a cooler medium, the moisture (not necessarily water vapor) will condense into liquid. Hot vapor can hold a higher weight of liquid than cooler vapor. The wet vapor contacting the cooler surface produces visible condensate.

In order to develop visible condensate on the outside of an atty shell, hot wet vapor would have to come in contact with the cooler outside surface. Could happen, I guess.

It's quite obvious with the clear carto mods that have an internal surface exposed to the vapor coming off the heater. Condensate on the inside will happen. Not sure I like the idea of vaping "rerun juice" though.

Or maybe not... I dunno...

Me neither. That's sort of why I stay away from bottom feeders. You know the kind that lets the juice drain back.
If e-juice vapes off most of the ingredients, the stuff that's left behind might be stuff we don't want. It's evident that at least some of the juice stays behind as crud buildup.

Would a bottom feed juicer with a large condensation chamber above the heater be like a

self cleaning oven?

Just imagine vaping it over and over until it's all gone :)

i'm with vm on this one,
cooling the outer case of an atty wouldn't have any effect on the vapor production. that is all acheaved at the coil.
the benefit is that when its not being activated the left over heat would make its way to the outer casing and then dispersed.
this would come in very handy for those that chain vape or 5v vape
now i wouldn't think it would do much for a carto and you would also have to take off the paper around the carto for it to work.
since i use 5v all i do to cool mine down is, stop pushing the button before the end of my drag to let outside air flow threw for a moment.

the amount it would cost to build a simple heatsink is so little that even if it didn't work out well there is nothing lost but maybe a total of a dollar.
my brother works in a metal shop. i can see if he can bend up some aluminum for me w/e he gets a chance.

"Cool looking is important BTW"

Couldn't agree more, RM! :) I should post a drawing of the PV I'm building. It's shaped kinda like a pistol grip and, in fact, is about the size of the grip on a Smith K-frame. I'm gonna make it out of a tight-grained hardwood like cherry, ash, or something along those lines. It's not meant to be one of those tiny little box mods. More of a functional piece of art, assuming I don't mess up the with the finishing on the wood. In any case, as long as all the features and functions work properly, I see no reason why it shouldn't be pretty as well. :)

Anywho...

absolutely post a drawing and update with progress. I wonder if a used flight controller for one of those game shops would come cheap? Buttons and switches, ect.

You could use one of those game thingys, but you'd have to completely gut and reconfigure the inside of the "box" to fit the components. And you'd likely be buying the controller without knowing what the insides look like. Could turn out to be more trouble than it's worth. Or not...

Is it really 01:15? Geez, I'm gonna be useless tomorrow.
