Has anyone tried the DSE103 from Heaven's Gifts on Ebay? I have a few questions:

1. On average, how long will the battery last before it needs recharging? (Appx. how many cigarettes worth can you smoke with it ... or any other measure that seems appropriate)

2. On average, how long will the battery last before it needs to be replaced with a new one?

3. On average, how long will the atomizer last before it needs to be replaced?

I'm trying to decide between this DSE103 and the DSE901 from Puresmoker. I'm leaning towards the 103 because of the 1 year warranty and the fact that it's smaller and looks real.

Thanks,
Mike

hello...good evening...and welcome...

buy the 901 from puresmoker...the carts, batteries and everything else last longer...the 901 is one of the best ecigs period...

superminis like the 103 dont cut it in comparison...

for your first ecig,get a 901.the end.:)

:) true but 103 is an good alternative for light users

next look like real cig if those wanna mix with the crowds.

but seriously speaking if u compare 901 and 103 , the vapour wise actually 103 is more than 901.

but of cos as I mention 103 is for light users.

I orderd from david yang a member in here
and is good .maybe his 103 suppliers is better .

fishy, why do you have to make things difficult?:p

well,we're all entitled to our opinions,but IMO,the 901 is overall a better ecig,and a great all rounder...perfect for a beginner...

the 103 has more limitations, too much going against it,and all this warranty stuff, posting off to china whenever anything goes wrong...its no good for a beginner with no backup...

the fact that the 901 is still my favourite is a testament to it,cos im a fussy bugger mate.;)

janty also not bad I no need to comment siince there is alot janty users here

I just happen to order 103 from david yang in here, actually I don;t know is one of the european floks recommand so I give it a try .

and his service is good , + he will give u free spares which I found this is good.since the suppliers ownself also know and we also know e cig need extras and spares. thus u no need to sent back the spoil ones
next shippment is quite fast too.

overall I just give new members varity of option to chooose

overall we need to recommand those good suppliers here be it in europe or china right?
those black sheep suppliers are just spoiling this I believed some of the e smokers also encounters thus they also will post here which suppliers to avoid and which to recommand.

overall about 901 and 103 , this fellow david yang also got somemore is black 901 .but I choose 103 again because I used as a backup and vapour wise is in fact abit more than 901 but 901 vapour is good too . of cos the carts , battery wise 901 win

;) I do own 901 also .just share my option.

youre right fishy...its important to find good suppliers and ecigs which you like...and i think david is a nice fellow...

its a pity no suppliers are allowed in SG,isnt it...:(

micro, the problem is this...most people new to esmoking want it all...but thats not possible...so you have to compromise, and decide what you want the most from your ecig...

the large penstyles have the longest lasting batteries and cartridges...but most newbies are turned off by their size and shape.

the minis-like the 901-have medium lasting batteries and carts-about half that of the penstyle...but the ecig is smaller and more cigarette like in appearance.

the superminis-like the 103-have short lasting batteries and cartridges...about half that of the mini 901...but they are small and look like a cigarette.

after awhile, youll find the supermini to be inadequate and frustrating for heavy use,and youll want to look at longer lasting options, regardless of how they look...so youll want a mini or a pen or even an ecigar...

im suggesting that you go for a good beginners compromise model in the 901,based on what youve said about wanting something quite small, but with relatively good performance, given its size...

you have to decide what the most important thing is for you,and i suggest you read the forum as much as you can, theres a lot of information on tap...

oh,and dont believe the crap about one cartridge being equal to 20 cigarettes...approximately,id say a penstyle cartridge equals maybe 8-10,a mini 5-6 and a supermini 2-3 max...depending on the individual properties of any given cartridge.

and for a night out, youd need a spare battery and cart for a penstyle, and more batteries and carts for sure with a mini and supermini...

batteries are hard to gauge, but the smaller they are,the more often they need recharging and same goes for cartridges and refilling...sadly,thats just the way it is...size matters.

Just excellent advice! Look, the first time you pull out your metal tube with a glowing LED, every real smoker in the area is going to see it and perk up. What the hell is that? You'll do a lot of explaining. So, if you have the gonads to use an e-cig, might as well go for a good one. Looking like a cigarette is not a reason to buy one of these. Performing well is. Minis haven't cut it for me. Only a pen style will do. And to hell with how anyone thinks it looks. In my view, it looks great. It as much a part of me as hair style or tropical shirt for the day.

I've now closeted all my minis and would use them again only if that's the only thing available. Listen to Darcy.

Get a super-mini as backup, mini for travelling, and pen for home!

IMO the 901 is the best. Period. Its easier to get a lot of vapor, it's portable, and with extra batts you can last all day. I do use puresmoker's pen style at home though but honestly it produces only about equal vapor to 901. The 901 has a more consistent draw and I find it easier to use when doing other crap like going on the computer or watching TV since I can just keep it in my mouth.

OK ... so the 901 cartridge equals about 5-6 cigs and the 103 about 2-3 cigs. Now I just need to know approximately how many cigs worth the batteries will last for each one.

For example, if I want to e-smoke the equivalent of a pack of cigarettes, how many batteries would I need for both the 901 and 103? Just a rough guess is fine! (I just don't want to go out to a bar with 5 batteries and 10 cartridges in my pocket).

Model: DSE-103

Battery life is very good for a mini. I rate it at a 3.5 on a scale of 1 to 5; up to 80-90 puffs per full charge. You can actually get a bit more than that, but vapor production drops off too much, and I don’t find it worthwhile. Similarly, cartridge life can be pushed to 35 or 40 5-second puffs, but really, only 30 or so are good. That works out to 2-3 cartridges per battery.

Ooh ... I just found this 103 review from Leaford. Sounds like you can smoke about 2-3 cartridges for each battery. And if one cartridge equals about 2-3 cigarettes, that means one battery will last about 6-7 cigs worth.

Does this sound about right? How much better is the 901?

cos it look abit more like real cig.
next if u load with fresh battery and fresh cart
same apply to 901.

actually 103 produce abit more vapour than 901 ..but as many know 103 cart short thus it cannot hold more e liquid , after 3 to 5 or even 10 puffs , the vapour slowly get less so do the draw.BUT 901 still can maintain it cos it abit longer the battery next the cart altought u look like small but actually hold abit more than 103.thus u can smoke few puffs more than 103.

basically if u want to bring out and wanna a e cig look like real cig 103 is the one but if u wanna smoke long , 901 or penstyle

micro-read and heed my earlier post,if youre wise...

forget about the 103 as a sole main daily device...its a backup ecig at best...

for your first ecig,if you want a small form, then the 901 is your best available option...its the best mini there is IMO...

if your priority is a longer lasting cartridge and longer battery use between charges, get a classic penstyle...

and i advise you to also get a bottle of eliquid with your order-its quite essential...if you have difficulty selecting a flavour, read the forum, and ask your suppliers advice...

also order a spare atomiser and battery for your selected ecig...more than one of each if you can afford it,because you will need them...they dont last forever...

thats all you need to know...believe me mate, cos i know what im talking about.:)

Hmm... maybe I'd better order a few more bits and bobs. I have a 901 in the post from Pillbox38 (I think - the electronic cigarette company??) but it's just the starter kit.

I tend to smoke about 10-15 a day of 1mg nic cigs (so B&H/Morlboro reds strength) what do you guys recommend?

Kate's already recommended another battery and atomiser ordering those, but what cartriges should i be looking for?
