heavy in lungs and itchy throat hit

hi everyone! i am new to diy.

i have a 120ml of 100mg nicotine pg base from rts vapes. i transfer 10ml of 100mg nic to a 30ml empty bottle and add 20ml of pg to get 25mg/ml nicotine base.

i created 3ml of juice 50/50 pg,vg ratio 5% of single flavor and my targer nicotine was 3mg/ml which was pretty low nic.
i used ejuice me up calculator.

0.36ml of 25mg/ml nicotine base
0.99 pg
1.5 vg
0.15 flavor

when i vape it it feels like my lungs cant take it, itchy throat hit. cant vape it without coughing. but the flavor was there.

i just mixed again same as above but without nicotine the result was good, but i want my ejuice with nicotine. *sigh*

any help, suggestion i would really appreciate it. thank you!

I think you are using too much nic. Cut back to 18mg and see if that helps. Read the stickies at the top of the forum. Yes, some are old and some are long but they are there for a reason and are full of good information.

This gives you a base of 33.3mg/ml, not 25.
10ml out of 30ml is 1/3 -- 1/3 of 100mg/ml = 33.3mg/ml

Still, that just ups your recipe strength to 4mg/ml from 3 so I don't think that is the problem.

Don't know what else to suggest.

10 ml at 100 mg/ml makes 1000 mg of nicotine - divded by total of 30 ml ( as you ADDED 20 ml of 0 mg/ml ) you end up with 33.3 mg/ml nic... Diluting it down to what u're using, the nic shouldn't make that much of a difference in taste/flash. Based on the above numbers in you recipe you got very close to 4 mg/ml nic. Could also be that you got a flavour thats more concentrated than others ( depending on brand/flavour ). Less might be sometimes more. Double-check your measurements, even with 1 ml syringe it's easy to to over- or underdose when working with such small quantities.

Assuming that your flavour is also based on PG ( 99% of the common flavours are ) the PG/VG 50/50 tallies.

When you left the nic base away you also changed the ratio PG/VG somewhat...

Maybe you're sensitive to PG . Try changing to PG 40 / VG 60 ... or even 30 / 70 .

Well ...

lets say you want 10 ml with 18 mg/ml nic - So that bottle of total 10 ml would need a total of 180 mg of nicotine.

Your base got 100 mg/ml : 180(total mg needed) divided by 100 (mg/ml availavble base strength ) makes 1.8 ml ----
leaves you with 8.2 ml to add up to the required 10ml total quantity .
